Wow, it's been a long time since I've stepped foot on the board......

I don't think I'll get back into much of this until summer, but trying to fix Qloof234's problem I probably have some time for at the moment. PM me with a download link of all your files and I'll work from there.

Well, with about two and a half days before I'm back at home, things should start picking up the pace again soon. I still can't update from here because the internet connection is so low. Once I get home, I should be able to get back to updating like before. Wow, the pace has been picking up so fas...

Hey Qloof234, I just want to say that there comes a point where you'll need to stop listening to all our complains, or else eventually all the levels will get too dumbed down. :| Use your own judgment.

I don't see how to complete that level where you first see the rainbow blocks (cbloopy posted a screenshot of it above). Those electric floors never turn on, and I can't reach the ground on the second fall. :? Electric floors? :?: Anyway, if the rainbow blocks aren't falling, just move off to the l...

where there are alot of blocks and you loose a power and get it back, there is a pit, bit it is too long to jump. Sorry if this is obvious, but you need to be walking at full speed while making the jump. If you just try to jump across the gap from standing still it won't work because you haven't bu...

And that one part in the castle where you have to go up a staircase-like corridor is EXTREMELY hard because of the "touch a wall or ceiling and stop moving" thing. It's a really hard level because you don't know where the lava is. Maybe a rising lava meter would help. Actually, I don't know how tha...

The most likely cause is a bad video driver. You could try going to Windows Update and see if there's a newer version of video driver and hope that has a fix for the problem you see. You can find Windows Update from Internet Explorer's "Tool" menu (press ALT key to bring up the menu bar in IE). It's...

Cool! 8) Although I'm still seeing the flickering with the castle walls on 1-5, but now it only happens when you're moving vertically. I'm not really sure what else you could do to make it not flicker, so maybe we'll leave this one alone for now. I also managed to once in a while (like maybe 1 out o...

Hehe... I think fixing the bounce arrows is priority one here, not World 2 Level 3. You know, I think by now I've actually figured out how those bounce arrows work and how the problems came about. It seems that you actually have invisible "stop bouncing" objects in the levels to stop the eff...

Hmm, haven't seen this one. How do you do it?

The new castle walls look fine. Of course, the real test is to see how it looks in-game as you're playing the level.

More quirks I noticed with the blue floors: 1) if you're standing on a blue floor when you walk into a blue laser beam, you don't immediately fall through. You only fall through when you're actually falling (eg. after you jump, or when you move off the edge of a floor and fall). You can test this ou...

Great job! 8) No major complaints from me this time, everything works out quite well. Minor issues: 1) the world 1 hub music's looping isn't quite right. If you listen carefully you can hear that it repeats the first measure just before it loops back, so the first measure gets played twice during th...

I'm trying to fix a bizarre problem with the music in this world right now - I've decided on the song I'm going to use , but the problem is in the looping. Hmm, I see your confusion.

A custom item's "Fn ID" is not the same as its "ID". To use here you need to set the item's "ID" (not "Fn ID") to match with the Data you use for FNC 5.

Re: Poll: Should I Continue Jacob's Classics?

Ok then. It's still ok if you wake up an old topic in the Solutions forums to ask something... Yeah I'm fine with that. I mean, most new users actually tend to create another topic anyway to ask about a level that already has a topic, so there's not much difference either case. And to be fair, brou...

Re: Poll: Should I Continue Jacob's Classics?

I think too many people are telling people not to do this. Does it really matter if someone wakes up an old topic? Yes it is. People generally look for new posts to read, and therefore bringing up old topics like this (keep in mind that people don't necessarily remember it is an old topic un...

Make sure you set an ID for the item. That ID shouldn't be -1 for example.

If it's still not working, PM me your level and dialog files and I'll take a look.

Have you ever create a "shopping" dialog? You know, one where the merchant offers a number of things for sale, and if you have enough coins, the merchant will activate the item for you to pick up on the level and take away the number of coins from you?
