Well after hours of fun I thought I had finally made it to the end, only to find I only have 29 coins and 133 stars, I must have missed a level!!! Time to go hunting high and low for a missing level, oh well, hope to be back soon having finished!!
Any advice on finding a level I have missed would be appreciated otherwise its back to every area.

Well I've checked the list against my list and I think that I am missing Bouncey and Bitey. Which area is that one in?

I think that one's in Barren Underground if I remember correctly. There is one level that you find at the end of a long path off to the left of the purple gates, it might be that one.

It's not that one. You have to talk to a certain Jeeboo in the Guggenheimer room. It'll tell you about the "bounceys" and "biteys".

Can you give me hint as to where the silver star is that needs to be talked to? I don't know where "Suntown" is (thought it was called Star Town) and I have talked to all the stars I can find, repeatedly. I have all the stars and golden keys needed. I am unable to catch the purple star (any hints??), cannot retrieve the blue flower until I catch the purple star, and cannot find someone to raise the bridge to get me to the golden gates. Help?? what am I missing??

On the screen with the golden gates, there's this silver/gray/black/whatever star that occasionally runs past and then disappears. To see it again, you have to exit the location and enter it again.

I'm not sure what exactly triggers the star's appearance, but when it's there... be fast!

It is Star Town not Sun Town, and you don't have to chase the star, just go and stand by the water behind that house and he will come to you. That's how it went for me anyhow and I'd only got a couple of keys at the time. Once you've talked to him and he's raised the bridge you can come and go as you please.
