New Level - The Melody of Dust *

Post by Mark » Mon Apr 17, 2017 1:26 am

This began as a simple Sokoban project.
Only the Dust can tell you how it Ended.

Have Fun!

I have bitten the dust for a while - but not so long and the dust was very tasty!

Thank you Mark for one of your greatest levels!

Hi Amnon,

Thanks for the compliment. :D
This is my third 'Dust' level.

Perhaps 3 times is the charm.
Maybe it should be a 'Trilogy'.

I've just looked at the original Termite Dust (I), I had a score there but I don't have any recollection of doing it, so I did it again and it took several hours. This new one is MUCH easier!

What a totally incredible level.
I got a few things done but ultimately needed some help.
The action with the spheres through the green TP was very clever.

Thanks for yet another tour de force Mark. 8) :D

Welcome back, Mark.
I see you've gone back to your "classic" level creation method (i.e. completely stump Cloud  )
I'm sure that the ones smarter than me found great enjoyment, but sadly, I only found great confusion.
See you in the next one.

OK, I know it's been a very long while, but I just couldn't see the opening on the spheres for the longest time. I never peeked at the solution, because it looked like something truly beautiful that I should stick with, but eventually I just put it away for a while as a level I didn't solve... and only now I managed to do so. Grabbing that one coin without getting one of the spheres stuck was the most difficult part for me.

After that, I slowly figured out the green TP bit and unraveled the puzzle piece by piece. It really is an excellent one.

The ending is a lot easier and serves as a reminder of the level's Sokoban beginnings, I think. The sphere puzzle is the real challenge. So much thought put into such small space!

Amazing, amazing level, Mark.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
