The dungeon wsw - I am not stuck just confused!

Post by billy bob » Thu Apr 02, 2009 4:20 pm

On the dungeon (wsw) I can not figure out the bottom bit just above
the pink button where the trap is. What i could not figure out how they
have made the trap work.... have they got ice (and a conveyors) in
a fake walls? (I am pretty shore that they have, as you can press
right where the conveyor button is)
P.S. the ghost only comes out after you have just been put in the trap
does this involve the same trick? :D :? 8) :) :D :? 8) :)
If so then how did they do that?
you can't put two tiles on the same space!

EDIT: that is what has happened i have zoomed in on the hole thing
(with ALT X)

There's a conveyor with two woodboxes ending at the breaktile above the conveyor-button.

There's also a longer conveyor with a plasmacube ending with an ice-curve on the conveyor-button.

And on top of the ghost room is a conveyor with 3 plasmacubes, which will release the ghost when the conveyor starts (so the plasma cubes go away)

You can see all of this if you use the Alt-X keys. Because you already talked about the Alt-X keys in your "Edit", I thought you found the answer yourself yet.

Confused!

Post by billy bob » Mon Apr 13, 2009 11:25 am

What I am confused about is that ice and conveyors are tiles and there in
fake walls, but fake walls are also tiles, and you can't have two tiles in the
same space! So how did they do that? :? :? :?

Oh yes, now I see what you mean. Well, of course I don't know for sure, but I think in RTW it would be possible to make a model that looks exactly like a wall. So they can make a conveyor, and icecurves, and then hide those things with a model so it looks like fakewalls.

It's be done also with WSW-The Maze. http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=181756#181756 There are empty tiles / unwalkable floortiles used and then they made it look like just floortiles.

Beside that, I don't know if for WSW the same rules / programming is used as in RTW, but I just think it's the same idea as models.

Oh dear I forgot what I was going to say now!

Oh yes I remember now! Is it possible to upload the objects that look like
walls? :D :D :D

EDIT: This has mentioned before in another topic (with free the key)

I'm pretty sure that's possible, but I don't know how that works.

Here is some information from Midnight's website about custom models: http://www.midnightsynergy.com/returnto ... l/adv2.htm

And there are also some people here on the forum who knows how to make models.
