ArcadeGameWonderland Adventure how to get to the yellow key?

I have managed to get as far as needing the yellow key, (level 1)although I still don't know how the maze works and how I got there, so now I can see the yellow key, but am going round in circle after circle and still can't figure it out.

Look to see what color transporter is in the area that the key is in. Then go to the other side maze and find a transporter of the same color. You may find several of the same color, so you will have to experiment to see which one will take you there.

I don't see a key. This game makes no sense. All I see are colored buttons to step on. What key?
