Floing Training 301

Post by dsg » Sat Dec 20, 2008 4:55 pm

I am definitely flunking floing training!! How do I either keep the red button pressed or reactivate the teleporters after walking through the corridor with the switches. I'm sure that there is a really simple solution but I just don't see it

Thanks for all the help!!

Are you still stuck?

Stole this from Darshan, sorry bud and thanks.
Make a Floing bubble in the room with the teleporters and buttons, and then charge your glove with Pop and trap two pop spells in the Floing bubble (remember, aim at their destination, not the Floing bubble). Quickly run down and hold the red button down until the pop spells are released and hit their buttons. Now, enter each teleporter and activate buttons with Pop until all buttons are pressed.

Thanks Salin

that's the reason why you need floing bubbles for!
put a floing bubble, put something else in it but aim to your destination
wait until the bubble explodes and watch the result
a small hint for doing the very last level without the help of the walkthru-topic

Help - I have done what you said, but nothing happens when the bubble bursts.
Am I putting it in the wrong place, or will anywhere in the room do?
I can see the 2 yellow dots in it. (Why 2?)

The red gates are down because I am standing on the button, but as soon as I move off it, the gates go up again.

Tessa,
place your floing bubble on the water between the first two red gates. Get your pop, and quickly go back to the floing bubble. Go to the left of it to aim a pop at the button behind the right gate, then go to the right of it to aim a pop at the button behind the left gate. Quickly run back and stand on the red button, stay there until the bubble bursts and the pops hit the buttons. Use you spyeye to see what's happening.
Once you've done this the rest should be easy. :D

Thanks for that - I would never have worked it out.
I thought 'aim at the destination' meant at the floor where the bubble was, rather than at it in case it went off set.
I had that trouble aiming at fire flowers - the aims seemed to go one square to the side of them and missed.

I thought I had this one figured out on my own, until I only had 1 floing bubble left to open the gates. I used 8 in the beginning. Did I do something wrong?

If I remember correct, you should only need one in that area.

what about the first floing bubble? I can't get that one. The one that opens the 8 gates after the red gate where you get the floing.

Nevermind. I totally messed that up. I've got it figured out thanks to the help from everyone & the screen shot & finally some common sense on my part. Too long of a day to be playing wonderland, I guess.

I think I must be missing something - how do you get through the first part only using one bubble?

I think there was some confusion going on here, unttrainer.
You get through the first part - with the 8 spikeyballs - with 8 floings.
You get through the second part - with the teleporters - with 1 floing.

Loraie,

That was where I got confused. I thought I was supposed to use 1 at the beginning gates, then 8 at the other gates. After I realized that was backwards, (8 to get through the first gates, then one for the second part) all of the other hints made sense.
