#1: Mysterious Cave
#1: Mysterious Cave
This is my first map I ever made. This level looked MUCH different back then and it looked terrible. Later I understood how to use the editor a little bit more. But I'm still having some trouble on dialogue (Not anymore ). And a few other things. I might change this adventure a bit. But anyway this is what I created.
UPDATE: Dialog

Nasty error - that is, a MAV, occured five seconds ago when I tried to make a purple teleporter become black.
For some reason, the Player can't handle that even though it's possible for a colour 15 teleport to exist if you use !TextureName and!GloveTex to modify its colour.
Thus, your level has a problem, unless you put the black colour changer on purpose, which would be a bit nasty of you since it gives you a MAV.

The coordinates seem OK to me...what I'm wondering is why the dialog is on signs.flameterror91 wrote:Found another mistake. You start the level in the wrong coordinates
I'll fix it. When you are on Objects the Y coordinate turns into a negative... I hate that.
To make a dialog activate without you reading something or talking to someone, you need to use General Command.
Set it to CMD 21
Data 1 = Number of the dialog you want
Data 2 = Interchange you want to start at in the dialog when command is activated
Data 3 and 4 are not used. Whether you set the command to repeatable and who can activate it depends on where it is placed in the level and what it's for.
OK?

I fixed where your start coordinates are so that's why they are okay. And the reason why the dialog is on signs is because I don't know how to use dialog. I looked up the tutorial but it was a bit confusing. I only knew how to have NPCs use dialog. So thanks for telling me how to use dialog
