21st Adventure: Metalwork

Post by yot yot5 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:39 pm

You'll need Kooky's music pack V.4 or higher and my music pack V.3 or higher to hear all the music in this adventure!

===The Wondertown Invasion Pentalogy===
Part 1: The Wonderbank Nightmare
Part 2: Foggy Footprints
Part 3: Shadow Of The Storm
Part 4: Metalwork
Part 5: The Last Mistake

This adventure includes a brand-new puzzle design idea that COULD become the new bridge chain!!! The puzzles are easy to make and great fun to solve!!!

On the storyline side, things are really coming together. All the clues are here. If you're clever, you'll be able to predict everything that happens in the last adventure of this series!

What is it with you and 'the new bridge chain'? Also, I need to catch way up on your adventures because you have the most consistently challenging puzzles. Thanks for reminding me.

I'm stuck on the fourth (or the first with four chips) chip puzzle . Any tips ?

EDIT: Thanks :)

Bridge chains were easy to make, quick to design, and require almost no forward planning. It would be nice to have something to replace them, but something more entertaining (bridge chains were BORING). The puzzle concept in here might do it.

EDIT: llarson, here's a tip for the 4th chamber.
Try using the yellow microchip to help you get the green and blue microchips in position. Then get the yellow and red microchips into place.

This level was fun and required a good amount of thinking, but I noticed several glitches in the dialogs. Also, yotyot, you forgot to include

Can you tell me where the dialogue glitches were?

Canopy guy's dialog still re-starts from the top when asked.

The canopy guy's dialogue still repeats, but that's not a big problem.

I can't seem to make the Evil Merchant dialogue very funny, so I don't think I'll bother uploading. :)

P.S. I know the whole Snowstorm+Shadow of the Storm incident slowed things down, but can somebody other than llarson and Wonderman at least try this? (5 of the downloads were from me when my PC got stuck)

I would, but I've been busy lately. That's probably the same for everyone else, too.

Hints and tips in classic Q&A style!

Q1: How do I solve the 3rd microchamber?
A1 wrote:Use the blue microchip to help get the red microchip in place, then direct the blue microchip to its slot.
Q2: How do I solve the 5th microchamber?
A2 wrote:This one is tricky. Try getting the yellow microchip in place first, then use the red microchip to help get the blue and green microchips in place. If done correctly, you should be able to take the red microchip straight to its slot
Q3: How do I solve the 6th microchamber?
A3 wrote:This is easy! Remember you can still use the green microchip to your advantage.
Q4: How do I solve the 7th microchamber?
A4 wrote:This is also pretty easy. Get the red microchip in place first, then get the blue and green microchips in place at the same time.
Q5: How do I solve the 8th microchamber?
A5 wrote:Don't let the massive size of this chamber distract you! It's actually rather simple. Try and get the red and green microchips in place first, using the blue and yellow microchips on the right hand side. Finally, get the blue and yellow microchips in place at the same time, like in the 7th chamber.
REMEMBER: There are lots of alternate solutions to these puzzles! Don't worry if you find a solution that's completely different from the ones recommended above.

This was fun! The puzzles were tough, but simple, and the dialog at the beginning was funny.

For some reason I just laughed at the idea of throwing a key at Stinky.

I laughed so hard in real life when I punched the engineer.

Have you finished the adventure yet? The real laugh comes at the end.

I actually thought the beginning was funnier than the end, but maybe that's just me.
