Thanks, but there's no hurry, and only if you like to do it. I was just a bit curious.

In a real helicopter you have 4 things to control:

- The cyclic is like a joystick with an X and Y axis where you can control at which point you have the most lift: Front/back and left/right (so turning left means that the left side goes down and the right side up)

- The pedals to control the tail rotor (so turning left means that you stay horizontal, but point the nose to the left)

- The collective, to give more or less lift in general.

So actually I can't imagine that it's possible to control a (model) helicopter with only 2 things. So, if you can do it, it's a miracle. 8)

Tomorrow morning I'll take it out and make a video of it.
It's not like I really have anything else to do considering I wake up at around 5:30.

I got a chess clock and a maths book and a gyroscopic thing called a "powerball". I also got a T-shirt and another book (which are both about the same subject as some of my birthday presents I got (that is 2, 3, and 4).

God.
Almost everything on this forum reminds me of Portal, and HL2.  :o

In Portal, the company responsible for portal technology is called Aperture Science. They're in direct competition with Black Mesa, which is Gordon Freeman's workplace.

During the events of Half-Life 2: Episode Two, a radio message from a Resistance member is intercepted and proves to be about an Aperture Science ship that went missing years ago, called The Borealis.

oh and here's more stuff I got

- Stix 400. It's a computer controller that allows you to play games with wireless motion sensing controllers. People say it's a wii ripoff, it actually works great. I like it! Here's a demo and commercial

- two EB games gift cards of $20 and $25, a $50 wal-mart gift card (I think), and $140 in cash!

- Using my money and gift cards, at EB games I bought a wii points card and a DS Nerf frame with a cool stylus. It feels soft.

- Using my wii points card and a leftover 100 points at the wii shop channel on my wii, I bought Mario Kart 64, Legend of Zelda, and the japanese Super Mario Bros 2.

In a half hour I'm going to spend my money. I'm going to wal-mart to buy myself a new DSi, and go to EB games again to buy another wii points card for my new DSi. But I just hope that wal-mart card is worth $50 :?

Emerald141 wrote:I re-downloaded Portal a few days ago as a Christmas present to myself. The gameplay is epic, but frankly it's way too easy (I killed GLaDOS on my first try.)

As for HL, my obscenely strict morality level prevents me from buying anything rated M. :|
Try Portal: Prelude...

If theres one thing you will be thinking it won't be 'This is too easy' :P

And if it's fanmade, means that everyone is supposed to know how big it is? :o

Sorry, I'm just talking about things I don't know anything about.

I tried taking a video of my remote control helicopter. It got too windy and one of the rotors broke. I'm trying to fix it now.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you can fix it.

Like I said, there's no hurry. Try it in the summer on a warm, quiet and sunny day. :)

Emerald141 wrote:Prelude hates me. I think I'm installing it into the right directory, but it always exits out when it would normally display the menu.
That's wierd, because it should install to the right directory automatically when you run the installer.

If you don't have Portal installed, it won't work. If you do but it still says that, it's installed in the wrong directory.
