Here's an interesting image I found, although it looks unofficial.

Size-changing portal things.

It's probably just a GIF... but the "tech demo" of Pseudoform (was previously named Portalized) does exist and judging by the videos, scalable portals do exist there and work exactly like that.

Using my chore payment, which me and my dad planned, I'll be saving up for Portal 2. I get paid $5 a week doing chores around the house. So I'll have to keep doing it for 10 weeks and at the end of august I may be getting it.

Although I've heard from some sources that it requires a $100+ controller. 3:
Not quite. There's DLC exclusive to the controller (when it comes out), but there's also a DLC package available to everyone coming out soon.

Ooooh. So that's why there was a random Steam pop-up saying "Portal 2 has finished downloading". Going to try them out with my friend tomorrow then. :D

While I do think that Portal is interesting, I doubt that I'll ever try it
again, since it runs slow on my PC, and it takes ~ 6GB of drive space.
Maybe others will have better luck than I did. :!: :)

That gameplay element actually didn't end up making it into the game. Shame, too, I would have enjoyed vaccuming up turrets.
Well, technically, it did, but not officially, so to speak.

As in, in the level editor, all the stuff you need to make one is still there, but it never appears in any official levels by Valve. Reason is that there's not a whole lot to do with it besides turret vacuums, and it can get clogged up pretty easily (which is... a little bit problematic).

I can come up with at least 5 good level designs using it.
Such as using vents to put cubes on normally inaccessible buttons.
