R.I.P. Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011
Steve Jobs Apple co-founder has been dead at the age of 56 on 5 October.
It is terrible news that Steve Jobs, the innovative co-founder of Apple, the mastermind behind a variety of products such as the iPod, iPad, iPhone, Macintosh computer and the iTunes music store has died at the age of 56 on October 5, 2011. Steve Jobs’s death is an extremely tremendous loss, not only to Laurence Powell and children Lisa Brennan Jobs, Chris Ann Brennan, Erin Siena, Erin and Eve jobs, but also to the company Apple he founded and developed, American industry and hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Steve Jobs was one of the people who made Silicon Valley the capital of technological innovation and venture capital fortunes. On August 24, Steve Jobs made the world shocked after announcing his decision to resign as Apple's CEO because of health concerns and Tim Cook took over his position. "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being." Apple's website posed a statement. "Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor."
Moreover, Steve Jobs had been suffering from various health issues following his surgery for a rare form of pancreatic cancer in August 2004. Nonetheless to say, Steve Jobs had undergone a liver transplant in April 2009 during an earlier planned six-month leave of absence. After that, the iconic Apple CEO returned to work for a year and a half before his health forced him to take more time off. In August, Steve Jobs told his employees, "I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come."
Rest in Peace.
