Trouble with Yo-Yo Games

Post by DEEMAN223344 » Wed Oct 12, 2011 9:07 pm

Ok, I'm starting to join Blast!10's group of hating YYG.
I have a serious issue with Game maker, and so I posted it on the YYG forum.... and they completely ignored me.
So, here's my problem:
Ok, I've tried and tried to update game maker for my new computer, but can't.
Because I dislike GM8.1, I tried GM8. I entered the purchase referenece, and the softrap message box said that GM upgraded to pro, but it then started up GM lite.
I tried to reinstall, restart my computer, etc.
Then I tried GM8.1. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get my serial number instead of the Purchase Reference, as the Wiki asked.
Help Me?

It's been a while, but if memory serves, the serial code should be in the email they sent you when you purchased Game Maker 8.

No luck. They sent me the Purchase Reference instaid.
The wiki says to go to the YYG shop, but, it lies.

The best way to smash YYG: Make a game in a programming language. Build everything from scratch.

You could always just use a different program.

Try Construct2, it is sorta the same, only it uses HTML5. 8)

Yes, I'll learn a new programing language because I can't use all of the features. [/sarc]
Seriously, It's fine. It's just inconvenient.

Ok, I have more problems. When I close AoDD2 after testing, GM won't re-open.
