Help with custom texture mapping

Post by yarjor » Fri Mar 21, 2014 11:57 am

I'm a good photoshop designer and I can create custom textures, but I don't know how to arrange the different parts of the object on the picture.
Every custom object texture I have downloaded here had a very precise arrangement of the different elements.
How do I know where to put what?

I hope you can understand; If not tell me and I'll try to explain better

An easy way is to look at the original textures for the model and arrange your texture in as similar a fashion as possible. You can find the textures in the Data/Models/ directory (they're .wdf files that can be read like a typical image file). :)

Thanks! I never thought these files could be read as images. :D
Now to create textures for every little thing in the editor...
