Right after the six red boxes, when I'm going upwards to the first blue star. I get an Out Of Bounds no matter what I do. :|

After the monsters, when you go through the hole that gets you to the blue star, make sure you don't move Allo left or right until you get the blue star.
There is a tiny gap between all the "Out of Bounds" Triggers that's just big enough to let Allo through.

You may have to wait a few seconds for it to actually become responsive at first. If you've waiting and it doesn't work, try clicking on the window so it's in focus. If that doesn't work then I dunno. :?

Dlcs, this game was soo incredibly slow. I think it would work much better on my laptop, but it died. :roll:
Interestingly, while I was playing it, this message about the "virtual memory" being low and that Windows was going to increase it came up. Later, another one came up, and then... suddenly the game went really fast! Do you think that maybe this game uses quite a lot of memory (I'm talking about RAM, not HD space)?

I dunno how much memory the game uses.
You don't mean "it suddenly went fast" as in you'd gone onto the triple speed level, do you? :lol:
How much RAM does your computer have? Mine is 448MB (Don't ask cuz I don't know) :lol:

No, I was still on the first level at that point, somehow. Maybe I closed the program and reopened it again.

I went into the Control Panel, into System, and it said that it had 260MB. I think my laptop has more.

Well that's a pretty low RAM, so that may be the reason why it's going slow, but I dunno how to fix it or anything.

ok, i just have one suggestion for demo 3. maby dlcs18 can add one save slot so the game does'nt lose the data from where you are.

Actually, my XP computer routinely throws up that message whenever it's been in use long enough (a few days to a week maybe?) w/o rebooting. Many programs tend to "leak memory" if you use them for extended periods of time. Sometimes I try closing and relaunching Internet Explorer. I've also once seen Skype taking up 100% CPU time for god knows what reason (while not even using it), so I shut down and restart Skype to stop it from behaving strange. (It was making WA Editor very unresponsive.)

Also, if you have things like a virus checker and it decides to do a scan when you're playing the game, it's likely to slow things down while the scan is going.

Yes, I am gonna add that. :P

The reason it's not in Demo 2 is because the length in that version is small enough for people to easily complete it in one playing. :wink:

Is there anyone who has ideas for game elements they would like to see in this game? :idea:
If I think the idea is good and I can implement it I will implement it.

I'm asking this because, for the past few days I haven't been able to think of any new game objects to put in... (But I've still been working on other parts of the game so don't think I've just been lazy) :lol:

EDIT: Well what do you know, as soon as I post I get some ideas. :lol:
You can still post ideas if you have any though.

I don't know if Spacegame with shooting is gonna really work out... but I'll try it soon and see if it feels right for the game.

Actually, if you think about it, because the game seems to take up so much memory, are you sure that you can really make it much bigger?

I have no idea how this could be done, but: Do you think there's any way of storing the rooms in files, and GM reading them, rather than just storing everything in memory?

mqdar: I could make it so the game gets the sprites and music (not rooms, though) from files instead of having them stored in the game but I dunno how that would actually help...

I can't play or anything, but how about chickens?

Chickens will be there throughout the game worlds, and the story will be about catching all the chickens.

The game reward will be a chicken, the boss battles will be fighting for chickens, WHAT GRAVITY IS WHERE WILL BE SHOWN (when necessary) BY CHICKENS.

Okay, I have got a shooting mechanism. When you pick up this lightning item, you get the ability to shoot in that level. When you press Ctrl a red ring shoots out of Allo (the direction is going to be determined by which way the sprite is facing)

From what I've seen, you seem to be paying less and less attention to the fact that your game is gravity based. On level 3, there are only four gravity changers (two up, two down) in the whole huge level. I think you should try to refocus on gravity changes. :)

Blast!10: Okay, in the future I'll try to have gravity switching more often, although I'm gonna leave level 3 as it is.
