He's 1/3 Robot, 1/3 human, and 1/3 Clay, as his name suggests.
I need animations for him running, Throwing rocks, Throwing TNT, and jumping.

Those would be pretty hard to make.If you want to make the game before you get the sprites, use some other sprites until you get claydude ones. :wink: But if you do this, make shure you have a mask.When you swap your sprites for the claydude ones, keep the mask so the coligens wont change.If they don't, you might get stuck in walls,some levels wont be possible, stuff tlike that.(trust me, I've used it many times)Image

Sammy, Sure, but no double jumping. Claydude jumps high enough.

If not, you better make room.
The thing shoots most of the projectiles in the game at you, and they are all OHKO. It also has 1000 more HP than girevila. Here's what the boss looks like:

I don't mean having a high difficulty is bad, but I mean that stating the boss as being "one of the most annoying final bosses ever" might not be a good way to get people interested.

It isn't as bad as I described. You'll get used to annoying bosses by then in CD2.

Well, final bosses are supposed to be nail-rippingly hard. Just not too overpowered.

I think it would be fine.Think about it: the second to last boss in PM:TTYD had 70 hp and the one after that had 150.

That's not the point. The amount of health isn't the same as difficulty - not by a long shot. It certainly adds to it, but it's not what makes a boss hard no matter what.

My point is that difficulty needs to be incremental - as in challenge should be given in increments. Some games really drop the ball with this (Zelda 2 and Half-Life, for instance) and make it too hard too fast, and some just don't increase at a good rate (Half-Life 2, for example).

What I take issue with is when games start out going well but the final boss or later parts just leap up way higher than expected. Half-Life doesn't have this problem, because right near the start it clarifies that you're trying to survive and that's much easier said than done.

Saying that the final boss is incredibly annoying is going to mean people will react negatively, either they'll think the difficulty is just as high, which is discouraging to many people. The reason IWBTG is successful is because it's not trying to be fair, it's trying to kill you with everything when you least expect it.

The other possibility is that the opposite - they'll expect a higher difficulty curve and end up disappointed. There are very few games that can satisfy this properly. The only example that comes to mind is, once again, Half-Life - it's a good challenge and it's just annoying enough so that it doesn't make you want to quit.

If you want to advertise about the difficulty of the final boss, you're fully entitled to, by all means - however, it might not be a good idea in the end.

Difficulty of the games:
CD1: This game is easy if you know what to do
CD2: What?! This isn't even out yet, but here goes:
You have to defeat all enemies in sight while solving puzzles and not making the whole level fall and kill you. That's easier said than done.
AoDD: This is pretty easy untill DEMO 4 which isnt even out yet.
