To All Special Wonderland Father's

Post by Cat » Thu Jun 03, 2004 12:00 am

I know I am early for Father's Day , I promised Robbie I would post one for all you special fathers. So here it is, Happy Father Day! I am doing it now incase I get preoccupied, I have family coming in on the 12th. Enjoy

A Father’s Day Poem

A father means so many things,
An understanding heart,
A source of strength and of
Support right from the start.

A constant readiness to help,
In a kind and thoughtful way,
Encouragement and sympathy,
Forgiveness come what may.

A special generosity
And always affection too.
A father means so many things
When he’s a man like you!

Thanks Jersey, I can't take credit for someone else hard work, I just searched and found it on the internet. Which took me several days to find.
I am glad you enjoyed it.

That was a very nice poem. It's too bad though that a few fathers on this forum haven't been around lately. :(

Thanks Cat. That was special :D
...and really early! I think our Father's Day is sometime in September here is Oz.

I really don't know where we'd be without our Wonderland mums & grandmas.

Had a special treat this week from Miss 3. On our way back from Sydney last week her little sister got a couple of mozzie bites on her face that got ugly & started spreading. I took Miss (nearly) 1 to the doctor to get her fixed up & later on that evening her big sister went to her little coin bag, got out 40cents & gave it to me to pay the doctor to help her little sister get better...

Hope our other (quiet) Wonderland dads are OK - esp Bear

HI Robbie,

Glad you enjoyed it Robbie, Father's Day here is the U.S is June 20th,
I didn't think anything about the date being any different than here. :-)
I learned something new, at least it was the thought that counts. I will
try to do find something in Sept to make up for Father's Day. :D

What are mozzie bites? :?

Australian Language 101
Mozzie is just an Australia slang term for a mosquito... you know, those litle blood sucking insects. (I think the dictionary's explanation is a little formal but you get the picture  )
