Extreme Slowdown in WA3

Post by KGaus » Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:35 am

Hello,
I recently began revisiting the WA series and figured I'd played WA3 the least so I wanted to start it up again. For some reason, There are many rooms in the beginning of the game that have EXTREME slowdown, like 2-3fps, and I'm not sure why. I tried it with the resolution all the way down, I restarted my computer, and I tried to run it in compatibility mode for Win7. None of the other Wonderland/WA games seem to have this issue. It renders the game unplayable and I wondered if anyone else had this issue and if so, how would I fix it?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hello,

Yes, the patch did fix the slowdown! There´s another problem though. Now, if I try to click on the menu or inventory, it crashes the game. It seems to happen every time and I´m not sure why.

That's very strange! :?

Try:
- reinstalling the game and the update
- renaming "localsaveoff.txt" to "localsaveon.txt" in your POTZ root directory
- (beware this will reset your game hence make a backup) go to your POTZ directory and search for "localsaveon.txt".
- If found, then delete the "GameData" folder in that directory
- If not found, then in Windows Explorer type "%localappdata%/Midnight Synergy". Find and delete "WA POTZ" folder.
