Post non-secret game/project intentions here

Post by Technos72 » Sun Jul 17, 2011 1:37 am

Because topics may get useless when projects don't get anywhere.

As I mentioned earlier, ALOT earlier, I was planning an WA hub for more than a whole year called WA: Prism Temple It was going to take place after The Magical Tests. It will include some of my own characters and will include eight bosses.

As for single adventures, I was planning to make adventures of participating in game shows and into real video games.

For these video game adventures you discover there is a special technology from Wonderture Science (that appeared in Wonder Portal RTW pack) that takes you into virutal reality video gaming. Then you meet a stinker named Jave Conson, who is the boss of the Wonderture Labratories, the way his name is referenced like Wonderture Science is the initials were switched from the name Cave Johnson who is the boss of Apeture Science. I'll try to make these adventures if I have time.

I might do some work on WP2, or just remake WP. WP is super-hard to make puzzles for.

maybe it's because it's a platformer puzzle game. Try making it professor fizzizzle like

Mabye. I allwas thought it was because of these 3 reasons:

1:The Wonderland Elements don't go well in a platformer. They don't fit into platformer-puzzles.
2:You allwas have evrey single spell with you. Splash often lets you get through puzzles effortlessly.
3:I'm just plain bad at making puzzles anyway.

Your idea is a good one. However, I've never been able to think of any custom levels in that game, and since you can't jump it's not quite a platformer. Other than that, as in the elements of PF, I'll give it a go if I ever get around to remaking WP. ;)

If I do remake it, here are my plans:
1. No more of this "have any power, anywhere" buisness. The classic "glove charger" system will come into play.
2. It will be grid based. Because you can't jump grid-based you must be on the ground to use magic.
3. Charecter abilities will probaly be ditched. They were either useless(cough, Loof. He just went faster. There's only 1 puzzle that could help in.), annoying(cough, Qookie. The idea is good, bur it actually got in the way durring some puzzles.), or let you skip virtually all the level(cough, Morklin. I overpowered Blast lawl.).
4. More magic, such as Bounce, and I plan on throwing in some tertiary colors(eg. Vermilion), and POSSIBLY "jewel colors"(eg. Ruby). This will hopefully give more puzzle choices.
5. I can't promise anything, but I might look harder into custom stinkers. I have a plan to make them, but the jumping animation would probaly go down in quality.
6. Same story. Blast island is still overpowering the other rainbow islands, but hopefully each charecter will be more into the story. So same story, but modified to be better.
7. Same charecters. Mabye that Kaboom! from a while back will get a place.
8. Splash will probaly be removed. It's too glichy.
9. As or right now, PF elements.

Good idea.

All my WA/RTW projects are either announced or secret, so here is one of my Game Maker projects that I haven't announced yet due to the fact that there is a good chance of it not getting off the ground.

Fanmade Freelancer 2: Return of the Nomads

First some background information on Freelancer.

Freelancer was a free-flying space shooter game with some RPG elements by Microsoft games from 2003. It was very popular once, and still is to some degree. The end of it suggested the coming of a sequel, but the sequel was abandoned. I recommend you play it if you get a chance. But before you do, (since this is supposed to be a kid-friendly forum), I should warn you that it does have violence, swearing (b****, d***, h***) illegal drug references, smoking references, and alcohol references.

If you don't want to play this game, I will release a plot summary before release because references to the story will appear in my game.

So here's the demo layout for my game.

Demo 1
Battle Arena mode released.
Most of engine completed.

Demo 2
Freelancing mode released.
Trade Lane/Jump Gate/Base/Jump Hole engine completed.

Demo 3
Story Missions 1-10 released.
Battle Arena made unlockable after Mission 10.

Full Version
Story Missions 11-20 released.
Freelancing and Story merged.

(My version won't have all of that by the way.)

The any magic anywhere kind of hurt your game in my opinion, BWF. Especially if you are going to use Morklin.

I totaly agree. If I get around to remaking it you will use the "glove charger" syestem that's used in the actual WA games.

I was planning another 3D game of another classic game remade more cooler, but with another twist. I was going to make a 3D first person version of Legend of Zelda for NES. But all enemies, and probably other NPC will all become characters from memes. While doing this project I'll be getting down on some serious 3D programming and coding. Some features from it will probably appear in the full version of Doom Adventure and the next demo of Kiyoshi vs Miku. But it's going to be hard because I want to make the player walk up and down stairs like in the original LoZ.

That sounds awesome as long as the narator won't be making the story up as he goes along. XD

At the end...

"Oh yeah, did I mention that this entire adventure never happened? I lied about the whole thing just to entertain myself. You see, my name is Billy Mays and I live in a world where I sell various household products."

And after that Emerald141 will start making adventures where you play as Billy Mays and you have to deliver stuff to random stinkers' houses before time runs out.

And we all know what that choice will be, and the correct choice just became a little more obvious...Spare Carnifex.

In other words he/she lives. If he/she died in the story he/she couldn't be telling the legend.

That sorta spoiled the ending(half the time), but it's your plot. You do what you want with it. *shot*

I wouldn't be surprised if he changed it just to annoy me, but he already said that the choice would be whether or not to kill Carnifex.

Wait, the choice was explicitly explained in that post? I'm still not entirely spoiled, but whatever the choice is, I'm not going to kill Carnifex, and that includes letting him die if he's in trouble.

I guess I'm just nice. :P

No, a different post. And the orange thwart did not mention Carnifex, just a choice and the spare a life thing.

MyNameIsKooky and I guessed what the choice would be (I hinted, he stated) and Emerald said we were right saying he should be less transparent.

I mean, the fact that you die won't be surprising now. Lets say Mario dies at the end of Super Paper Mario, you wouldn't wanna know that before you end the game. :3

A lot of people new that for quite a while though. And it would be funny if Mario died at the end of Super Paper Mario.
