Fixed that for you.

This is one of the most difficult and frustrating levels in the game, if you ask me. It's almost deceptively simple on paper, but pulling it off for real is another matter entirely. Good luck.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Like pretty much everyone else, I used Floing to solve this.

Here are some things to remember...

1. Zapbots have limited range. Generally, if a Zapbot is outside of your screen view, it can't "see" you.
2. Floing bubbles block Zapbot lasers.
3. If you're within a Zapbot's range, the only thing that will stop it from shooting at you is an actual solid wall.
4. Zapbots can kill other Zapbots.
5. Save, save, save!

Good luck! :)

I know this may sound ridiculous, but I won the level with Flash. Gems make an excellent, portable shield. And I could also use Flash to move the ZapBots in the centers of the rooms to a position that was more convenient for me. In the end, there were only 3 or 4 ZapBots left.

Wow...
I didn't even try flash, I figured using twice the power was the last thing I needed for that level. :P

holy crap what that sounds incredibly inconvenient

Although actually, I guess it's just a choice between twice as many shields or better shields. That's... awesomeness actually.

Well, of course, I could only bring one gem; Flash won't let you "store" more than one object. But I put it several spaces to the center ZapBot in the first room, so it was ON the square path that the outer Zapbots went on. (It couldn't be further left; if it was, the center ZapBot wouldn't see me). I stood there, the center ZapBot kept trying to shoot at me, unsuccessfully through the gem, and ended up killing many other ZapBots. The rest was a bit trial and error, but I could move Zapbots or my gem; whichever I wanted. Unlike Floing bubbles, gems don't pop or disappear against your will.

So give it a try! Maybe try doing it with every magic there is! (Although Pop will be a bit of a challenge.)

Well uh, assuming there's no Pop Wraiths, we can just use Popflowers.

Wow, just tried it with flash, originally did it with flo, sooooo much easier, straight through no multi saving required, why didn't I use this method originally it would have saved an hour!!!

You mean using Flash is easier???

Our team really should have discovered this during beta testing. Using Flo was the intended solution, but it's very tricky and frustrating and we kept bugging Patrick about it. The level stayed as is, but seriously... had we discovered this during beta testing, we wouldn't have bugged Patrick about this level.

Flash really is easy, killed all but 2 in the first section with the placement of one gem, moved the gem, then moved the central bot to the other side and killed all but two again, this left only 3 alive (apart from the side ones which I just ignored) which I could avoid at distance, finished with a spare flash, you have got to try it to see how much easier it really is.

Of course I know. Why do you think I made my username "Wonderland King"? But thanks. I'm honored to have a beta tester say that! :)

And to be honest, I think I discovered this trick because I was actually unable to win the level with Floing.

That's what I did with the floing bubble, plus when the bubble popped he killed the one inside it, too. I used 5 floings total and had no zbots left in the first room and only 2 in the second. Could have killed one more, but I decided it was enough. My guess is that a grow flower would have the same effect as the gem, but it would just expire.

Zapbots don't shoot at you if you're hiding behind a Growflower. :(

I remember that showing up in that teaser trailer I think, and I thought wraiths could be any color. :(
The fact that grow wraiths actually work though is pretty cool. :o

Tried to use flash too in this, and it worked really well. Ended up with just one bot in each section. and then it was a breeze to finish the rest. :) -only thought of flash after reading about it here though

Thinking about it, flash and flo wraiths would all so be interesting...
Well, I suppose this is really a forum for this mission alone. Maybe this "multi-colored wraiths" thing should be in the "WA3 editor suggestions" rather than the help section on Rescue Mission B? :|

I tried it with Brr, but oddly, if a ZapBot shoots at you, it's laser will go right through a frozen ZapBot. But anyways, I have much bigger news.

I made 2 return trips from the ZapBot area to the magic area!!!!!!!!!!! The first one was easy: I trapped a Blink spell in a Floing bubble. Then I got Pow and crossed the collapsing bridges. I killed some (actually, only 1) ZapBots and then the Blink took me back to the magic area.
The second return trip took me a while to work out. I used the glitch (well, you all consider it a glitch) that lets you change direction on Brr pads after you hit a wall. Actually, I have NEVER considered it a glitch. I find it an important puzzle element and would be upset if Patrick made it impossible. My solution also involves Blinking directly onto Brr pads. What I did was I'd make some Brr pads along the way back to the ZapBots, make a Floing bubble in the way, cast a Blink spell onto a Brr pad (that would go through the Floing bubble), and step on the Brr. Then when the Floing bubble bursts, you'll be Blinked onto a Brr pad. Because you'll have Brr in your gloves, you can cast Brr spells further along the way. Then use the so-called glitch I mentioned above to slide back. It's just a lot of that. Let me know if you want to try it but my guide was too confusing, and I'll make a screenshot. :)
