Well, I finally uploaded the boss, one week before intended release of HOTSP.

This is the final part to the First Electroit Trilogy. :)

I hope you enjoy! I certainly did.

Here's a video covering the general idea of what you do to solve this. :P

Spoiler Alert: Boss

Post by Jutomi » Sat Jun 13, 2015 6:07 pm

Here's a major spoiler covering all of the boss's attacks. :)

- Electroits (Class 629)
This crazy professor wrote:Its known main, primary events are:
- Main Central Attack (Fires 3 blobs to the central 3 tiles) [First Counter]
- Main Global Attack (Goes to and fires in 8 directions from each side[left first], and after returning to the centre shoots from the wall at the barriers of what'd be "The Wall Sides")[First counter]
- Wall Attack (Goes to a side and shoots fireballs on the opposite side, covering the entire wall side and the border of the centre. Electroit always fires on the right first, and then, if ever does it again, will always alternate sides.) [First counter]
- Front Attack (Shoots four fireballs; two from each side, forming a = shape through the centre. The Zap Attack is right between the lines.) [First, Second, and Third counter]
- Flo Event (Summons four flo bubbles.) [First and Second counter]
- Summon Attack (Summons a battlebot, either from the left, right, or, in second stage, sometimes even both.) [First and Second(2x) counter]
- Spiral Attack/Rapidfire Attack (Shoots rapidly in a circle around him. Not too dangerous, fortunately) [First counter]
Its known main, second-stage events are:
- Grow Summon (Summons two grow, directly in the rift and between battlebots. Does not do much at all.) [Second counter]
- Zap Attack (Summons a zap-bot to the left of the arena which will target the middle - of your platform) [Third counter]
Technical Events:
- Reinforce (Activates second mode after a cube's destroyed.)
- Burn (Pits are mostly lava.)
- Dialogue (Technically can kill you. .-.)
- Ice (The black tiles are made of ice. Supposed to represent slippery floors.)
I hope this helps. :)

How did I manage to complete this...
Pretty fun action level, although basically the UFOs' are the key to success here.
How did you randomise the actions?

Not so Simplicity

Post by Jutomi » Mon Jun 15, 2015 4:20 pm

Well, that was not the easy part... :?

I asked Qloof to make me one - which, was neat,
but I freight that it wasn't the "counter" I was looking for. :?
Albeit, I'm still glad he found it, and I might make an adventure crediting him with such. :)

Instead, what I did was
I just now, in an extensive manor, wrote:I made NPC's activate and try to walk to a coordinate,
with two I's and several small -'s between them.

Within the -'s, from left to right, are active full bridges [a gate in some cases] and a button.
Then a coily was placed in the left I.
The NPC gets blocked by the coily and goes through a - to the right I, going to his destination and getting springed back up via a third I to his starting point.

I also added some extra things for the central attack(where another mini-spring thing's at the top) and the wall and zapbot attacks(where the coily activates them).

Plus I added a few 1-tile spaces, spaced out by one-tile spaces to the right of the right I, with only a few being 2-spaces.
I'm glad you enjoyed.

I could hear coilys in the wall, but I didn't think any NPCs were used too.

1 Step at a Time

Post by Jutomi » Tue Jun 16, 2015 3:48 am

I would have just used coily,
but in order to make sure that the attacks
which could otherwise hurt the Electroit
could not fire while the bot was not in position,
I had to use the NPC to help space out the attacks.

In a way, the coily was the randomizer
while the NPC was the buffer. :)

However, there was more than one randomizer. :o

In order to help make time go a little faster
- and riskier -
I decided to add a second one that activated, slightly more often,
attacks that didn't affect the Electroit, yet were still spaced out
from one another(except for the ones activated by coily). :)

Boss Defeat

Post by Jutomi » Tue Jun 16, 2015 4:00 am

You'll have to destroy the boss somehow. :)

Figuring out how is the puzzle in this. ;)

Hints Inaccessible

Post by Jutomi » Tue Jun 16, 2015 5:08 am

I told you that solving how to defeat the boss is part of the fun of it.

But, yes, I will upload a video solution next Saturday, presumably. :)

I chose that day because I prefer to schedual things for Wonderland;
it helps me have a nice buffer zone of adventures,
plus it gives players a decent amount of time to try each adventure
without a solution tempting them to give in immediately. :P

Look around the level with your Spy-Eye for a clue.
If you're still stuck, Jutomi actually dropped a hint in his previous post (that I have reproduced here). Read it carefully again. ;)

That's an interesting method. My favorite randomizing strategy is to use scritters, as they always leave a cage in a random direction after the cage is raised.

Vanquished Electroit

Post by Jutomi » Sun Jun 21, 2015 3:45 am

Well, linked below is a video covering a playthrough of this adventure. :)

Though, with something this randomized, it's hard to really get a pinpoint solution. :P

I hope you enjoy! :D
