Re: New levels - Soko-Ban 06-10
I understand these aren't your layouts and that Thinking Rabbit invented the ruleset to begin with, but level 10 is just sad . I understand having some filler here and there to hide your basic puzzle idea a little more, but when 99% of a big level is empty calories, I think it's safe to say the desi...

Re: New levels - Soko-Ban 01-05
Yes, there is a conversion mistake. There should be more space behind these two boxes.
There is also technically 1 wall tile missing in 02, but impact is minimal.- Sat Dec 21, 2024 6:27 pm

Re: New level - Box puzzle
I once recreated the entirety of Aymeric du Peloux's Minicosmos as one pack, but I released it with a different filename. Didn't feel right to put mine on it. As for interest, the original Sokoban pack always finds a way of being cloned, cloned and cloned again. :) In pure Sokoban clones, inside oth...

"Inspired by"? More like "perfect recreation"...
Level is exactly how I remember it. It's not very hard, but one of the more memorable ones in Thinking Rabbit's original set.

Re: New level - Box puzzle
Long time no see (I'll play the level tomorrow, need to zzzzz before work), but FYI you can force a near-infinite amount of boxes into a Sokoban level. (Well, maybe not thousands since it might overflow the game's internal object limits, but you get the idea.) You just need a slightly more complex s...

I watched the video solution -- it is solvable, but not "reasonably" so. The glitches are strong with this one.

That's because whoever maintained the archive after mette didn't do the best job and some levels are in wrong folders. Kiddy Land series is in Kids levels and is by szai14, which I don't think is a Mette alt. Level is here: https://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10310&p=102290 Doesn't seem ...

Re: New Level -- Thinking Time
In hindsight, I feel maybe the timing trick should've just been left out entirely. The actual first room puzzle is, IMO, really cool (tooting my own horn here, I know), but then having to also time the sphere just doesn't feel "in style". I think "Transporting" from WSW was my initial inspiration, w...

Re: New level - Mette is back 01
I'm not nearly as active here as I used to be, but welcome back, mette! It's not too difficult, but also not very easy -- it looks open-ended, but it's not. Almost every step feels initially like you can do it however you want, but then you realize it's not true. Very interesting design with a nice ...

Re: New Level -- Run For Fun
Ah yes, since this was brought back to people's potential attention, I will make a special note to everyone here that I do apologize. I drew the layout, then threw Stinky at it until I eventually figured out one consistent way of making your way through. At the time, I guess I wanted a "danger all a...

Re: New level: Hmmm...
This level is strange to me -- I can solve it in two ways, but... neither looks intended? You can permanently place a steel box on the purple button, and then you don't need the other purple button at all. This works because there's a steel box pre-sunk in water near the bonus coins, so there's just...

Re: Wonderland Mobile FAQs
Excellent question - I've added it to the FAQs. In short, the mobile game is 100% new code (in C# for the Unity platform). Its internals are completely different from the original, though I've tried throughout to exactly replicate the original behavior and timing of all objects. In that case, I'm p...

Ooooof, I wish I actually had that sort of phone now... I honestly thought that was intended! Was watching Cookie streaming it on Discord and one of his failed attempts (he did later find both solutions) gave me the idea to try out a different solution, so then I asked MNIK which solution was intended. My comment about elimination still applies, bu...

Easy enough, even with the bonus coin.
The title made me expect a much more horrible intended solution, but thankfully that's not the case and everything works out in a fairly easy manner. Manipulating the shadow stinker where you need him is the tricky part.

Be very careful when you start your movements in this one!
Simple concept, but what an execution. Lovely little action-er.

Can be solved rather quickly by elimination -- work backwards from what you need to achieve. Probably would be very difficult in a level with more stuff. A neat trick.

Re: New Level - Shadow Barrier
Very unique level, all of your movement is important. With the exception of "you can go two tiles up at the very start while the warp gate generates before they fully appear" (but that isn't super useful in this case), there are no breaks that I can see. An excellent idea!

This is based on how I initially solved version 2 of Cursed Ice -- not as tricksily counterintuitive, but a bit more complex.
There's some effort required in Sokoban-ing the sticky cubes around, but nothing too crazy. Just think about it.

Actually easier than it looks, although approaching it after the previous one might make you tunnel vision a bit. A real example of "think carefully about game mechanics, and it'll be easy", so... think about game mechanics, in a bit more detail than normal.

Fun way to combine the two concepts into one. Still not too hard, but trickier than the first level.
It's a good idea to play these 2 in order, 1 and then 2.

As once remarked by Mark... if you want to win, you'll have to connect the dots. A simple demonstration of a bug already known, but not often used.
