Re: What happened to the Thwarts?

Revenge? What for? It's heavily implied in the ending of WA1 that the Thwarts learned from their mistakes and likely integrated with the stinkers. I don't think the Thwarts even lived in the Void anymore. And I don't recall the Void being destroyed, although I may be misremembering the story a bit. ...

By not having the lamp/glow gem active. I don't remember if the specific message shows up all the time (as opposed to the generic "you need a lamp") or if it's random though.

Re: Scary and most startling Wonderland moments

The only thing I can particularly think of is the message "you are likely to be eaten by a grue" in MOFI when it's dark kinda, which freaked me out at first since I didn't get the reference and it happened in the Void room which has this dark, somewhat unpleasant atmosphere to it.

Re: Fire island is not really an island!

That's because the greyscale plains tiles are actually located on the arcade texture set. You can verify this by going to the game folder, and going to Data/Graphics (or /LevelTextures in MOFI and POTZ) and opening mfwfmufy bctusbdu.wdf (leveltex abstract) using an image viewer.

Re: MOD RULES + OTHER INFO

Expanding on this, I think we should adopt a free software license, like GNU GPL 3.0. GPL 3 is a bad idea since it makes the software more free than what is intended, including allowing it to be shared outside the forum, which is currently not allowed. Plus there are a bunch of really complicated n...

Can confirm, works flawlessly under Wine on Linux. Thanks a lot for the patch! It's going to be useful when I replay the WA trilogy next time.

By the way, the WAE link appears to be dead.

My love letter to Wonderland (10 years on this forum)

Not exactly sure if this is better in off-topic, but it is about Wonderland, so... I'm late by about two weeks, but March 21, 2019 marks the tenth year anniversary since I joined this forum. Ten years?! That is both so little and so much time. I'll admit the latter half probably went by a whole lot...

Re: Super Mario Maker 2

I'm cautiously optimistic about it. Probably going to buy it but probably not on day one. It's not a port, which is already a great thing, but it's still really similar to the original game which I own and can play anytime I want. The new features are nice, but I'm really going to wait till I actual...

Re: Lag in WA3 and WA3E on Windows 10 version 1809

I think I should now say what could be the main reason, behind all those slowdowns with BitDefender, 1809 and Wine in Linux: The reality is that POTZ and WA3E are different from the other Wonderland games. Yes, they are. Actually in Blitz3D, there are two types of builds of apps that can be made, o...

Re: Lag in WA3 and WA3E on Windows 10 version 1809

I'd like to add my two cents to this matter. For those who don't know I've had a dual boot Windows/Linux setup for a few months now, and only recently did my Windows install get the 1809 update (probably because I almost never use it anymore). I can confirm that, even on my relatively powerful compu...

Re: Moving a Saved Game

Access the game's install directory (typically in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on a 64-bit OS), and find a text file named 'localsaveon' or 'localsaveoff'. In the file isn't there then pretend it's the latter. If it's 'localsaveon', then enter the address %localappdata% in your Windows Explo...

Two Midnight Posts in the span of two months?? What a miracle! Anyway, I solved the last three and I especially enjoyed the red and blue puzzle. The other two were fun as well. However I'm utterly confused by the stinker logic puzzle. Something doesn't seem right, for one thing the "two stinkers had...

Yay, finally a new Midnight Post! I gotta say though I'm slightly disappointed that there is no spotlight/Peegue's puzzle, I mean it's not like I'm going to take my time to solve it but it still would have been nice to have after almost four years of no new MPs. Anyway I can't wait to order the DVD ...

Glad to hear that it's coming soon! Even though I own the original disc, I'll be buying this to support the devs and because I love the Wonderland series (plus having backups of WA games that aren't 10-year old game install files that travelled through multiple computers is a nice bonus).

Re: What is the official website for Krabby Quest?

Well I mean, I have Ancient Tripeaks 2 from Big Fish, but for some weird reason it doesn't like Windows 10, and I couldn't play it in compatibility mode (in which it works like a charm) unless I used the exe file in the install folder from the game. It bypasses the BFG Game Manager by doing that, m...

Re: What is the official website for Krabby Quest?

Apologies for the huge bump, however I'm in a similar situation, where I've been trying to look for a DRM-free version of this game. The reasons are 1) I am not installing BFG's game manager on my main computer ever (the version I own) 2) The game always launches in full-screen, which is a problem s...

Re: WA1: "Adventures done Adventurously" project topic

Really great run! I find it rather interesting how many compromises non-ASG creates, such as, if I'm understanding the situation correctly, having to go back for the magic gloves to be able to use standard magic. I actually enjoy the ASG runs for this game more now because of that, oddly enough. Any...

I've replayed through the entire Wonderland and WA trilogies last November and January respectively on Windows 10 on default settings and everything went fine. That was insane! Good job. I remember when a WA speedrun was over an hour long back in 2014. So much progress has been made, and I wonder if it's going to get even faster. I've recently 100%ed the entire original trilogy and I gotta say I'm glad the first Wonderland game has optional bonus coins. This is not 100% correct. Unless configured otherwise, MOFI and POTZ save in the user's appdata folder, which can be accessed by typing %localappdata% in the Explorer address box. All other games, however, save in their programs directory.

Are you sure it's legal? I don't think you can just sell legitimate game consoles, even when modded, to the mass public. I doubt you'd get in serious trouble if you're a low-profile seller, but either way you should be careful. With sites like ColorWare, I think they have some kinds of agreements wi...
