I'm stuck trying to get both PINK gates to open. any tricks I can use???

I would like to see a bit more control over scritters and crabs. To often they just go anywhich way and if there are a number of them to contend with it makes for a very frustrating time. These two are driving me up the wall. I can get into the area with the gems, coins and keys for SPIKEYS but I can't get out. The Hall of Shadows I simply can not figure out. I have read all the "hints" that are posted and I'm still way in the dark. I gues my 72 year old brain is just getting to tire...

I can get across the lake, get the 1st green key from the Yellow & orange blocks. but I can't find the red key at all. What am I missing???

As soon as I posted this I figured out the red "key".

I can get the key by the chompers, and the key across the barrel bridge BUT the key with the transporters is driving me up a wall.
Any ideas?

I'm stuck in Gemstones. When I step on the switch to raise the turtles either the front ones explodes or the back on turns left into the water. Also the crabs keep going into the watr and I can't get the red switch to work as a result.
