Re: Midnight Synergy Game Collection Ultimate Edition. (Is it worth it?)

does this cd support windows 10, because some of the games that I already have wont work on the windows 10? There are some really old games on the collection that'll require an Atari ST emulator and DOSBox. The 2D Windows games are more problematic, but this support page contains instructions on ho...

Re: Midnight Synergy Game Collection Ultimate Edition. (Is it worth it?)

The original trilogy's soundtrack isn't a new addition either and therefore irrelevant for omarogi35. Plus, 128 kbps MP3s aren't exactly the pinnacle of audio formats. If you have a program that supports the Impulse Tracker format, you'd probably get better sound just from playing the corresponding ...

Re: Midnight Synergy Game Collection Ultimate Edition. (Is it worth it?)

If you already have both the old collection and the WA trilogy, then I'd say it's only worth getting if you're a particularly big Midnight Synergy fan or simply want to support Patrick. Though it comes with a ton of custom content, that stuff can also be downloaded here . As far as I can tell, the o...

Re: [Release] BREAKTHROUGH! Wonderland Modding!

You may want to consider switching your file hosting service. Mediafire has recently embarked on a crusade against ad blockers and now denies downloads to all who use them. Granted, you can bypass this by either tabbing your way to the link or using a browser that blocks certain kinds of scripts, su...

In case you weren't able to get it to work, Patrick recently recompiled a nearly identical build of the game for modern systems: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27634&p=364467#p364467

Re: What is the official website for Krabby Quest?

During the golden age of casual gaming on PCs, absolutely every casual game distributer used DRM for all of their titles. It seems anti-DRM sentiment simply didn't exist among casual gamers, so nobody ever thought of creating a DRM-free alternative like GOG would later do. This wasn't done purely to...

Re: What is the official website for Krabby Quest?

Hey, Garirry. I have WA and MoFI from Big Fish myself (although all the other Wonderland games I have from Midnight Synergy's website) and while not true for MoFI (due to it apparently having issues in fullscreen mode if I remember correctly) the options launcher isn't there, but the launcher IS th...

Re: [Tool] Custom Content Enabler

If no files are extracted, that means the program doesn't have permission to write to its own directory. The easiest way to fix that is to run it with admin privileges.

Re: A Midnight Synergy Update

That's unfortunate to hear. Seems like Blitz3D's developers didn't go a very good job at maintaining backwards compatibility.

Here's hoping the Intensity duology doesn't have similar issues. It could really use an update. I don't think it works on Windows 10 at all. Same with Colony.

Running the executable without first inserting the game's code into it won't accomplish anything. Read my instructions on how to do so here: http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=364128#364128

That's strange. Don't think I ever got that error message. Let's make sure you patched the game correctly. The MD5 checksum of my patched executable is 9E79F838BB9C3E5B7240EDF54F634A7C. First, you need to download this: http://www.mediafire.com/file/n6tzelndrl562er/patch_for_stinkytest.zip Put the executable from there in the game's directory. It's a far more recent version of the Blitz3D wrappe...

It's a shame this mod hasn't been developed any further. It makes playing custom levels a lot easier, and the ability to change the game's resolution is quite a welcome addition as well. But at the same time, it really is incredibly buggy. So much so that it completely broke after I used it a few ti...

I gave it a try out of curiosity, but it's indeed rather buggy. Although it could have some use if you ever finish it. The TOW prototype obviously has far less potential for custom levels than RTW, but its game logic does differ from TOW in a few ways, particularly when it comes to buttons. I'm sure...

Just to make sure, you didn't just run the unedited executable, right? After all, it's just the raw Blitz3D engine. It's useless without the game's actual code, which you have to extract from the original executable and insert into the new one. Do you know how to do that?

That's completely normal. The game is apparently incompatible with modern versions of DirectX.

Thankfully, it's possible to fix this by following the instructions here to insert the game's code into a more recent Blitz3D wrapper. It's a bit complicated, so make sure to read the whole topic.

Heh. I think that was just a coincidence. IIRC, Patrick made that post in the days before WSW, so Stinky and Loof's species did not yet have an official name. Also, it was a pretty liberal translation. You can't really convey this line's meaning if you translate it literally. If you did that, you'd ...

The weird quote you're talking about is the German phrase "Nein, du kleines Schwein." I recall Patrick explaining ages ago that it means something along the lines of "Not again, you little stinker." Being German myself, I can confirm that's an acceptable translation. It's basically just Loof getting...

I neglected to mention this, but the executables you uploaded complained about requiring fmod.dll. So I downloaded it from the Internet. Perhaps the version I found doesn't have this issue?

Anyway, thanks for the instructions on how to enable windowed mode. I'll give it a try later.

True, that'd be the best place to put it. If I get around to making an account there and familiarizing myself with the site, I'll do it. Might do that later today.

Anyone who extracted Krabby Quest's data might have noticed two files with the extension AGP. As it turns out, this is an extremely obscure format used only by ArtGem, a shareware image editing program that was discontinued in 2002 after abysmal sales. The credits for TOW mention that its 2d graphic...

The clues are enough to narrow it down to a small amount of possible combinations, definitely less than 20-30. You're then supposed to find the right one through trial and error. I'm pretty sure that you can still run those levels in RTW (I don't know, haven't used it myself), or you can export the files to the Krabby Quest game so you can try it from there. There was never a test function in RTWE. How do I PLAY the Level I created then. I mean, when I create a level, how d...
