Game Problem...

Post by Triana » Sun Jul 01, 2007 6:53 pm

I haven't played for about a year, and am having some problems with my game and my memory. Hope someone can help. :)

For some reason, my game menu is not displaying .lv6 files. It used to. All other files work fine, even if they're in subfolders.

I have Wonderland, Secret Worlds, and Return to Wonderland Deluxe. I believe .lv6 files are for RTWD. I'm using the Deluxe.exe file found in that folder, which I believe is the correct one.

There was information on the forum somewhere that .lv6 files are "Platinum" files, which I think is also the same as RTWD. It said they should be in the "Custom Levels/ Platinum Set" folder. However, it doesn't matter if the .lv6 files are in that folder or in another... none of them show up, not even the ones I've played. Do they all need to be in that folder, or just the ones that came with the Platinum Set?

I lost a hard drive, but was able to get it running long enough to get everything off of it, including all my Wonderland files. I had to move them to another drive though. Is this game connected to the Wiindows registry, that possibly might cause this problem? Do I need to reinstall the games? Is there a config file that could have been changed somehow?

Would appreciate any suggestions. :)

Deluxe and Platinum are not the same!!!
Deluxe.exe is wrong, use wdlgamep.exe (if you have one that is, if you don't have one, then update)
The way to find out what you're running is to look at the version: Deluxe is 2.x, Platinum is 3.x
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Muzozavr,

Thank you so much... That was exactly the problem! :D

Has been so long since I played, and I was totally confused way back then which files to use when, the difference between the games and the files, etc. In the meantime, I forgot everything I figured out!

Your help is much appreciated... I have my files back! :))
