Hi all,
I know I can make some rather sneaky stuff with putting different types of buttons of the same color in one level. My question is about the round-square combination. As far as I understand it works like this:
If you put something on a (let's say) red round button and leave it there and then pres a square red button the red gates should stay permanently closed. This is the effect I wish to create anyway, but I can't make it work. The gate stays open. I placed a boulder on the round button (the gate is now open) and then rolled another boulder onto the square button (the gate is still open).
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Mette,
As per popo above, if you have something, or a character on a round button when when you stop on the square button, the gate will stay open but then when you move off the round button the gate will shut. The square button will no longer work.
If you step on the timer button and then on the square button, before the gate closes, the gate will close when the timer runs out. The square button will not work after that.
Using the timer button and round button together, you can get the gate to stay open.
To accomplish what you want, perhaps it would work to require the character to cross a timer button to open a gate and have the tile immediately on the other side of the gate be a square button. That way, when the character runs through the gate, they will cross the square button, so that it will be disabled after that, and when the gate closes, the square button will not work any more.
