Does anyone else have a problem finding anything with this sites search engine?

Yeah, but I doubt it's possible to fix it. :(

The search engine is broken for like, years now. Searching via posts is fine though.

Discussion on Discussion Board Searcher

Post by VirtLands » Sun Feb 17, 2013 10:05 pm

Yes, I've often found the Discussion Board searcher to be inaccurate and missing posts, or plain not working.
There's no solution; It is what it is.

Tyteen was once trying to make a super replacement of the searcher,
but his idea crashed, and no one else has tried again.

My idea did not crash, my will to continue implementing crashed. The code works, just that I am too lazy (or as I would claim, too busy) to work on it anymore.

Also, my implementation only covers Wonderland resources, not posts.

Yeah, that would be an immense task to download every single
level, (.LV6) and custom medias, since the beginning of PCPuzzle time...

Some one else should give it a try now, but who?.

You would 'only' have to download everything posted after April 20th, 2009. Everything from before that is here: http://www.midnightsynergy.com/nutters/ ;)

I'm going to preserve every comment, so I guess it will be easier to just redownload everything. I'll see if I can hook up my code to an archive to save some bandwidth though.
