5-year old child's collection?
My whole family has been fighting over who get's to play Wonderland next. But poor little 5 year old never get's a turn cause even the lower levels are too hard.

What about 5 year old NAVIGATION between levels?
Remember we're talking about a 5 year old. Loading custom levels is a complex manual process which a non-reading 5 year old cannot handle.
Anyway ... how can I provide intra-level navigation using custom levels?
It needs to be a PhD solution (PhD = Push here, Dummy!)

You mean download a level? If so, I guess you would have to download it for your child.
If you mean just choosing a level to play - you could download the kids' levels to a separate kiddie folder & then he/she could just click any level from the list without having to read what it says. Does that make sense???

Navigation like the MAP but with Custom Levels
I know I need to download each level independently (unless someone has compiled a collection into a zip file). But my main worry is getting from level #1 to Level #2 to Level #3, etc ...
A 5 year old would need a map like the "real" game has. Any way to do that?

I had my four year old granddaughter playing frequently. Put all of the kids levels in a folder called Kids.FlashMerlot wrote:Remember we're talking about a 5 year old. Loading custom levels is a complex manual process which a non-reading 5 year old cannot handle.

C:\Return To Wonderland Deluxe\CustomLevels\Deluxe\Kids
Once you open the game and get it to the custom level (Your son will eventually be able to do this by watching you but it may take some weeks.) you can let him have his own name. It is easy for kids to eventually remember what "kids" means when they see that folder. Or you could even name the folder after him and when he sees his name, he knows to arrow down to it and push enter. Then he can just arrow, hit enter and play.
There are many kid levels in the Classic as well as the Deluxe Forums. As Majic said, use the words kid or child in the search. Although my search didn't begin to bring up all that there are.
Here's a link for you to start with that will give you quite a few to keep him happy until you get the rest.

While quite a few authors have made the kid levels, search for littlejg and janetgalle as authors of the most.
Some may be too hard for your son, just pay attention and remove those to a different folder for when he is ready. This way his folder will eventually be games you know he can play.

Look at these pictures
I don't trust my 5 year old
so my home pc auto-starts a utility called ChildProof. It stops Ctrl-Alt-Del, hides desktop, bullet-proofs against keyboard banging! This is what my 5 year old's desktop looks like when the computer boots:

When child opens Wonderland, here's what child sees.

Exiting wonderland takes child back to ChildProof desktop. This is VERY USER FRIENDLY for a 5 year old who cannot read. So, what I'm asking, "is there anyway to link custom levels into such a MAP-LIKE navigation menu?

It looks like your 5-year-old is playing Secret Worlds. There is no map like that in Wonderland or Return to Wonderland. You can't download custom levels for Secret Worlds. The custom levels are only available to download and play in the two latter. If this is the case, you may want to consider buying one of these. Does that help or have I completely misunderstood??

another solution is to let your child sit on your lap while you play, My daughter Emily ( age 4 almost 5) plays like this every day & sure sometimes she slows me down but, what the heck.. it's only a game, we take turns back and forth I'm Stinky Mommy & she's Loof Emmy. GREAT QUALITY TIME together!!
She's had her own puter since she was able to sit up an bang on the key board ( LOT"S of great software for babies, toddlers, etc...) I've also created her name as a player, so she can play her own game, she's figured aout how to use the cheat F9 key all the way to level 100 .... she has even been able to complete 100% some of the higher more dificult levels.. Children pick stuff up quickly just watching us.. and really as long as she's playing the game there's not much she could screw up. (I hope)
