Am I in the right board??
This might be a stupid question but I think I am doing something wrong!!
When loading a level with custom extras I load everything that I am supposed to...then what? I load the extras into the custom models/houses files but nothing happens.
do I have to do something extra to get the extras into the game?
There doesn't seem to be anything special when I am playing the games.
Thanks to anyone who can help me. Im stumped.

Have you unzipped them, using Winzip, or some other program that does the same thing? The contents have to be extracted to the correct folder.
Maybe this will help you - and no, don't feel stupid. I had a terrible time trying to figure it all out. Took a while, but it's so satisfying when you get it right.

I don't know a great deal about how to unzip.l I use Winzip.
When you first download a Model or a House, make sure that you save it to the corresponding folder. I keep those folders on my desk top so they are easy to find, and I have everything in it as thumbnails.
Open the folder and the most recent thing in it should be a zip file.
Double click on it and it should open what ever unzip program you are using. Select Extract and it will give you the option to select the correct folder (houses in custon Houses etc), then click on the extract button.
That should do it for you. You can then close the unzip program, and I then delete the "old" zip file as you no longer need it, and it just clutters up the folder. To feel safer before you delete it, you might want to open the level first and make sure the custom thingy is there.
I wish I could do screen prints for you, but I'm not up to all that yet.
I hope that's enough to help you. I think there might have been some other posts on the subject a long time ago. You could try searching, but I know it would take quite a long time to find something. Maybe some one else will see this post and be able to give you some more help.

One thing you need to make sure of is that the CustomModels and CustomHouses folders have no spaces and look just like these.
The next thing you have to make sure of is that when you have unzipped the folders to the correct places, there is only one folder with the files in it. Don't take the files out of the folder though. The files need to be in one folder with the model name on it. Sometimes, depending on how you unzip, you can end up with two folders, then it won't work. If you have two folders (ie. a folder within a folder) you can 'cut' the inside folder and place it in the CustomModels folder and then delete the empty outside folder.
Choosing 'run' instead of 'save' when downloading, and then extracting straight to the appropriate folder, ensures this doesn't happen. If you choose 'save' and then extract to the same place, you end up with the extra unwanted folder.
Hope you can follow this, I tend to get a bit technical.
