Help with organizing level

Post by bordeaux » Fri Oct 14, 2005 12:20 am

I think I read somewhere that there is a program to organize levels into creator folders. I just have one huge folder and I can't keep track of where all the levels are. Also I am hoping that by putting them in folders by creator I can get advanced levels to work. I apologize to all of you who have worked on models and houses. I don't play those levels because I can't get them to work. Any help on either topic will be appreciated. Thanks

Michelle, I think if you look under "General Wonderland Discussion" & then the "Useful things to know " post ... it's the second one down, you'll find the answer your looking for.

Thanks laura, but I have done all of that and the custom levels still don't work. Any help on organizing levels into folders by creator/user? 8)

Michelle, I think if you go to Mette's websight and download the levels, she has them grouped by maker except the kids ones may be a group by themselves. It won't hurt to check it out! You can find her website info in the General Wonderland Discussion sections in the post named Useful things to know. Hope this helps.

Hi Michelle,

The "secret" to organizing the levels in creator folders is simply this:
1. Find the CustomLevels folder in your RTWD folder on your PC
2. Open the CustomLevels folder. You will see all the custom levels listed there.
3. Right click to create a new folder (within the CustomLevels folder). Name it whatever you want (Let's say you call it "Lutz").
4. Move all the levels by Lutz to the new folder and remember to choose the Lutz folder as destination the next time you download a Lutz level.
5. In the game you choose to play Custom Levels (as usual). Now you will see a folder called Lutz. Choose this folder and you will have all Lutz' levels to choose from.
6. You can create as many folders and subfolders as you want. The important thing is that they're all in the CustomLevels folder.

I hope this explains it :D

Mette

P.S. I moved this topic. Somehow I don't think it fits well in "Meet and Greet"
