According to your analogy, +70 seconds at the absolute most... for a computer nub.tyteen4a03 wrote:Zipping:
1. Zip files up
2. Upload it
3. User downloads
4. User have to make sure the zip file was unzipped correctly (this takes at most 1 minute, even for technically challenged people)
5. User lets WA Editor do the job
All of the wasted time which has been inexplicably distributed among us all! If you really care so much about losing 15-90 seconds a week over zip files, then you probably wouldn't be on your computer as often as you are, let alone posting on this forum.tyteen4a03 wrote:It might be just 2 extra steps for 1 adventure, but consider the amount of adventures we have, it can go up to 200 or even more extra steps.

Resize it via image editor. Now don't go telling me that's too hard.Emerald141 wrote:it can still be quite annoying when it comes to picture size.

If everyone could just spare five seconds to open a zip file, and maybe another ten seconds to zip one.Emerald141 wrote:Also, in general, an argument is weakened when it can be put in the form "If everyone could just..."

I just use Paint. Click "resize", then size it down to something like 75%. Your version of Paint might be different from mine, but I'm pretty sure that every one has a resize option.Emerald141 wrote:What image editor do you use? For my screenshots, I just paste the pic in Powerpoint, crop and resize it, move it over to Paint, save, and upload. *prepares for incoming facepalm*MyNameIsKooky wrote:Resize it via image editor. The user experience for any game should be seamless and as simple for the user as possible.
Clicking though menus = not seamless.
It would take Patrick maybe a dozen clicks and a few key strokes to do this, he would only have to do this once.
Or the users of the game, the ones who the experience is supposed to be seamless for, to do some unnecessary clicking, for each adventure the download.
I don't see any reason Patrick shouldn't increase the upload size, it would take him a couple minutes, and then it's done forever.
EDIT: Oh, just realized this was last posed in 3-4ish days ago, this post may have been unnecessary. Sorry if this was unnecessary, if your a mod you can delete this if you want.
