Music for The Void, you say?
This one is NOT new, it is in fact very old. Before I had the SGM and SC-55 soundfonts, I experimented with the basic terrible built-in sample library. And since this music was all evil-sounding and pitched-down, it doesn't scream "cheap MIDI" immediately. So, while I'm composing something new for The Void, here's this old track, hastily renamed.

It's not *that* great, but I think it fits.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

For more paranoidness, check out "Mechanized Corruption" on the previous page.~xpr'd~ wrote:Muz.
I'm legitimately paranoid right now.
Whatever you were trying to achieve with the music
...it worked.

As for "The Void I": back then I was just trying to find ways to use the basic built-in sample library in a way that doesn't scream "cheap MIDI" to the trained ear. So I tried pitching some sounds WAY down and it worked BUT then it was all evil...

Then I saw eee226's post:
I was all like "oh hey, I might actually already have it in my music folder...", took a listen while trying to imagine The Void and it fits so well!eee226 wrote:Hey can you make a void music like a evil music.Slow and lower music.

Meanwhile... this thing below is not really music, it's more like a sound effect that lasts about 40 seconds. It's what Z-bot's language may sound like to the outside ear. I can make some variations on it if you need it since more than one phrase will be required, I just want to know if the sound itself is actually suitable, since I don't want to waste my time on something useless.

(Synthesized from microphone noise and a bunch of weird effects, then played multiple times and pitched up/down where appropriate. The sample itself was about 2 seconds)

I know, I know... this is not Wondertown music by any means... I started with an electronic sound and got caaaaaarrriiiiiieeeeeed aaaawwwaaaaayyyy... the next one is going to be Wondertown, I promise!

This is going to fit something space-y and hi-tech-y and futuristic-y. In particular, I have in mind the scene where Loof gets abducted and sees the inside of the UFO for the first time, but it could work for something else as well.

You should use that, and have the background go (A minor as an example) A - F - D - E, now that would be real creepy.Muzozavr wrote:Music for The Void, you say?

You mean a constant bass riff that drones over and over and has those notes? In addition to what is already there? A slow drone? Hmm.... That actually sounds like a relatively good suggestion. Thanks for the idea, I will probably try it out and see how it sounds.

Sorry, but Ned does NOT look like that. He looks like a smaller version of MooseJaw.eee226 wrote:Its before the next month but I have Ned.

Looks good, though. It could be one of the Random Stinkers Peegue shows the Poster to.

I think you should probably edit the title of the topic to something like "Wonderland Animation" instead of "How about this". I'd love to help, but I can't make good graphics, I can't make music, (I can only copy it from other games), and my computer isn't capable of recording voices, plus my voice almost always sounds terrible when recorded.

No. We were referring to Planet of the Z-bots as a place. The Movie is still called Animation Special.Sammy_P wrote:*sees last page* Owait, it's Planet Of The Z-Bots now? Hold on..
