New Users - Please Read AND WIN A FREE GAME!

Ok, I'm just kidding about the free game. But now that I have your attention:

There have been an increasing number of new users lately that have immediately started posting dozens of comments, some without any real information, some completely incomprehensible.

Please don't do that. It will get your account disabled.

Consider this forum an on-going conversation in a room. There are lots of folks talking about lots of things right now. Imagine yourself entering that room, randomly running around, de-railing conversations or just standing in a corner and spouting nonsense. Do you think this would make you a popular person in that room?

We are not very tough on rules in this forum (I know, some users feel the forum should be run a lot more strictly than it is). But if you post lots and say little, you are spamming. That just makes a mess, which I need to then clean up.

So, please be thoughtful.

If you are a new user:

1. You may wish to introduce yourself here:

It's not required, but it's a polite thing to do, and you might just find some new friends.

2. If you have a question, post it clearly and in the appropriate forum section. If you have a comment on an already-discussed topic, add your comment to that existing thread.

3. There shouldn't be a need to make dozens of comments in a few hours. Get to know the forum, the people on it, and its culture, before giving in to the urge to comment on every post you see.

Everyone here will appreciate you doing so and will welcome you with open arms.
