WSW score keeping?

Post by Muzozavr » Tue Jan 12, 2010 10:01 am

Trying my speed at WSW, I noticed a peculiar difference from RTW: WSW will not display your score on the level map. That is, it shows the score ONCE when you finish the level, and then never again. For the player, it's gone.

However, the game does keep track of your scores somewhere, for it has to be able to display "NEW LEVEL RECORD". I simply don't know where to look.

I took a peek at the .pla file in Notepad just in case it kept scores in plain text. but noooooo, it's encrypted. :P

Anyway, my question is: is there a way to somehow keep track of your WSW scores without resorting to pen and paper? :?

You could use a pencil instead (or you could type it in Notepad or something similar).

Well, I could take screenshots, I guess. The problem is not in writing it down. The problem is remembering the score/time.

But seeing as you can take screenshots, that's OK. Still, I have to wonder why did MS decide to not show the score on the map.

You could hack the .dat files, but I am pretty sure that is illegal.
(I would not try doing it)
