There's a recent graphics card that has sprung up for a few people that has this issue. This fix addresses this issue:
The problem appears to be the driver the Intel 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family card. To double-check that you have this card, press Start, then "Run...", then type in "DXDIAG". Press "Save Information", this will save a .txt file on your system. Open it - about the second paragraph should have the name of your graphics card and driver version.
Updating the driver seems to solve the issue for most customers:
The Intel driver site is:
http://support.intel.com/support/go/downloads
The direct link for this particular card (if that is what you have):
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts ... uctID=1764
