Post by Tweakfiend » Tue May 24, 2016 6:55 am

I have used all games with no problem in Windows 10
Just reinstalled system & none work using same GeForce GTX 750 ti
The driver was same as well.
Tried individual 3d settings per game with no success & Compatibility mode etc

Anyone have a solution ?

There's something that had to be enabled on Windows 8 in order to make games using Blitz3D work, and it probably carries over to Windows 10 as well. I think it was called "DirectPlay". Go into Control Panel and search for "features". Click on "Turn Windows features on or off". Click the plus next to "Legacy Components" and check the box next to DirectPlay and hit OK.

Another thing you can do is to try launching the games in different resolutions using the game launchers, and experiment in both fullscreen and windowed mode. If that doesn't work, maybe try messing with your computer's default screen resolution.

Thanks
Direct Play has always been necessary from Windows 8 on
I have had all games working since 2003 !
Its likely to be directx 12 update issue

Interesting. I had the same issue on a different computer, but I thought it was due to buggy Wine. (Linux is always great like that.)
Who would've thought?!

I have now dual booted Windows 8.1 ( uses Direct x 11) and Windows 10 ( Direct x 12)
Games still work in Windows 8.1, so Direct x 12 Sabotage by Microsoft seems conclusively the culprit

A Windows "quirk" seems to be the reason.
In windows 10 if you add the feature "Direct Play" before loading games you get this 3d error message on Wonderland games..
If you wait & try to load the game first , the request to load Direct Play will follow and after being successful, the game will also load !

How the heck did you do that?! I want in on that dual boot action! (ie: a Vista partition dedicated to Wonderland)
