Wonderland series Music

Post by anklejbiter » Wed Jun 15, 2016 12:53 am

Since I LOVE making (Transcribing) Songs and music, And some members here have been asking for some midi versions of the music, I've made some songs and would like to continue doing so until I've finished all of them.

Note: I now have a new computer. Most of my scores are on my old computer, which recently stopped working, so any old songs for which the musescore link to doesn't work might take a while, as I have to find them, transfer them, upload them to musescore, and then upload them to Youtube.

Most of my songs are on my Youtube channel, along with many other non-wonderland related songs. feel free to check those out.

They are all on piano, but can be converted to MIDI for note-playing instead of waveform-playing.

In the meantime, Anybody who would like to hear the piano versions, pm me What song you would like to hear and what type of extension you need.

Some songs are easy (Tetris theme), some are hard (Sewers).

I cannot guarantee any song requested will be done.

Available extensions are:
• .ac3 (Audio)
• .aiff (Audio, uncompressed)
• .amr (Audio, uncompressed)
• .flac (Audio)
• .gsm (Audio)
• .mid (Audio and sheet, COMMON)
• .midi (Audio and sheet)
• .mp2 (Audio, much loss, uncompressed)
• .mp3 (Audio, added space, uncompressed, COMMON)
• .mscx (Audio and sheet, compressed)
• .mscz (Audio and sheet, original coding)
• .m4a (Audio, compressed, much loss)
• .ogg (Audio, COMMON)
• .pdf (Just the sheet)
• .wav (Audio, no loss, uncompressed, COMMON)
• .wma (Audio)

EDIT: I should probably include which songs I've finished.

The links to the Musescore sheets are here, but I can't actually get a pro account yet. Because of this, I have a maximum of five songs that can be on my profile at any time. So, some of these may be broken.

EDIT: I've linked to cloudrac3r's site for the songs I no longer have on musescore for the time being. These links should work.

Finished songs:
Rainbow world
Happy puzzle solving
Qookie's song
cloudrac3r.ddns.net/wdla/music/Sewers.ogg
cloudrac3r.ddns.net/wdla/music/Wondertown.ogg
cloudrac3r.ddns.net/wdla/music/Wonderland_adventures_Intro.ogg

In progress songs:
Grassy theme (on pause, 29.527559055118110236220472440945% of the way through)

Okay, I can do that. I'm actually working on it right now, And I expect to be done with it in maybe 2 - 3 days. (If I work on ONLY sewers, 4 - 5 if I don't.)

How do you get the correct midi file out of a ogg file?

If you're taking waveform audio and changed it to sheet music, it's called transcribing.
I believe .mid and .midi are the same format, just differently named. Like .htm and .html for web pages.
I know for a fact that .ogg is compressed and lossy. It may have an uncompressed version as well, but there is definitely a lossy version.
.mscx and .mscz (I believe) are for the application MuseScore only. (Which I do indeed use.)
.pdf is basically an image.
MP3 is a proprietary format. I don't know exactly what this means, but an OGG is pretty much the same, but the format is free (as in freedom).

Probably the only formats we will need are MID(I), either OGG or MP3, and PDF.
Caton wrote:How do you get the correct midi file out of a ogg file?
You don't. A MIDI file represents notes on sheet music. The computer/device plays these as audio in real time.
An OGG file is waveform audio. It's basically saying: "At this instant, vibrate the computer speaker at [xyzzy] times per second. Then, at the next instant in time, vibrate the computer speaker at [xyzzy] times per second. Then...

Because MIDI is played as audio, it can very easily be converted to an OGG. But, OGG cannot be (easily) converted to MIDI.

Long post now over, thanks for reading.

Okay, thanks.

Yes, I agree.
cloudrac3r wrote:I know for a fact that .ogg is compressed and lossy. It may have an uncompressed version as well, but there is definitely a lossy version.
I use the version with less loss.
cloudrac3r wrote:.mscx and .mscz (I believe) are for the application MuseScore only. (Which I do indeed use.)
Yes, I included these specifically for people like you who DO have musescore.
cloudrac3r wrote:.pdf is basically an image.
Right. Just the sheet music, for anyone who would like to print it out and play it for fun or whatever.
cloudrac3r wrote:MP3 is a proprietary format. I don't know exactly what this means, but an OGG is pretty much the same, but the format is free (as in freedom).
"MP" stands for "MPEG, Short for "Moving Picture Experts Group", and 3 the layer type: MP3 stands for "Moving Picture Experts Group Layer-3 Audio".

I create the notes One-by-one, clicking and dragging along with typing, formulating, and LOTS of listening to the original song in slow motion.

are you working on a different song you have not told us yet because it says...
Sewers (on pause, about 58.1% of the way through) and other music on pause.

and I thought you said you only working on sewers then doing other songs? :?

I'm not trying to be rude or anything just wondering...

I get that. It's a perfectly fine question to ask.

No, any other song that are wonderland and that I'm partway through will be included up there. The reason I stopped working for a while was because we got hit by a storm the size of Missisippi, (My facebook post on this: "
Big storm. Extremely worried; 3trees fell over, one in our yard, two in another, debris EVERYWHERE, A tree on our neighbors car, Large branches, raindrops, rocks, cardboard boxes, and hailstones falling on our car on the way here - People driving on the wrong side of the road, Power flickering on and off, A house struck by lightning caught on fire, Lots of sirens, A TON of Clock-like flashing lightning, but strangely, very little thunder; Very scary.
") so sorry if I couldn't work on it. I really wanted to. Sometimes my family goes out, and then I can't work on it... Sometimes I just need a break... Stuff like that. I try to finish them quickly, though.

I hope this answered your question. :)

I must say, so far you're doing a pretty good job of uploading regularly (unlike Wonderland GB... heh heh) and you seem to be finishing them fairly quickly. It would take me a much longer time to do this. I'm impressed!

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the RTW music vs the WA music.

Anyway, I'm really enjoying these. :D

What I'm trying to say that you don't have to remake\get notes from the old wonderland game's music the can be converted .it to midi file. by using OpenMPT.

The music is also hosted on my website! Unfortunately, it isn't working right now because I changed my Pi setup for Games Done Quick. I moved the WiFi adaptor from my website Pi to the media centre Pi, and messed with the port forwarding.
When it's back (tomorrow?) go to cloudrac3r.ddns.net/wdla/music
OR you can just create a MuseScore account for free. Then the download will work. You don't need to install the MuseScore application (although it's very nice!), and you can download in a variety for formats.

I will upload when possible (And just did), and actually working on the songs when I remember. Look at the song names to see when I'm working on them.
