New Level - BoKi

Post by bob roest » Mon Oct 20, 2008 1:53 am

Kiki and I decided it was time to put together a big level. Not crazy hard, but something that might occupy your time and hopefully give you a rest from all the other issues that seem to be swirling around. For some strange reason we thought this place was about the game. So we made one...it's what we do! And we're sort of hoping that it represents a sign of unity and happy continuity. :D

There are three levels here, 'BoKi' is the main one, 'BoKi-1' and 'Boki-2' are the two sections seperated. We understand how annoying restarts can be.

We hope you have fun!

P.S. You'll never guess who made what section... :D

Oh nooooo....

I've been playing the game...honest. I've been occupying my time working on creating a level, well actually I have two started, then there's a witchy poo level I've been playing with or I should say two 'witch looking' levels I'm playing about with.
This one ought to be fun and interesting coming from you two, but alas I'll have me a peek but it might be a few days before I get started.

Thanks you two. mwa..

Oh No! A level from the two of you! I have downloaded it and will be playing it to the best of my ability, but it's from the two of you! I don't have a hope in H E double hockey sticks (trying to keep my language in check!). But I do always love trying them - you guys are sooooo clever. I will get back to you on my progress, if there is any:) :P

I am making headway....I need a hint for the white teleporters....right now I've got them playing catch w/a red ball and/or me....I need to get over to the left as I have solved everything to my right! Thank you in advance.

The white teleporters:
The green sphere should be rolling back and forth through the white TPs, step on the conveyor stop button right after the sphere goes through the right side one, then follow
:D

BTW:
one red sphere activates the red timer and the other two temporarily activate the green timer and the conveyor stop buttons located by the green TPs

Thank you Bob. I am able to get thru now. I have different colors rolling around than you suggested....hopefully it doesn't matter (she says with her fingers crossed).

Just completed the combined version.

Some nice tricks, but nothing extraordindary, Pandybear, the puzzles are serial, so your chance of completing this level does not depend on super-cleverness, but on the product of the chances of completing each part without making some silly mistake.

existance .....you are EVIL .

Amnon, I have never knowingly been able to not make silly mistakes. It's who I am and some things are never going to change - still haven't got those initial boulders rolling in the right direction - still trying.

That's a mistake!

In the full version there's a lamp post guarding the box, I forgot to put it in part 1.

So not brilliant at all, just not observant enough!

I agree with Pat - it is a nice feature, not a bug, and I was careful not to let my cannon shoot over there even when I played the full version.

HOORAH....I have successfully completed Parts 1 & 2.

For me, Part 1 is the easiest...I had the most trouble with that little jello puzzle (that's what I call the pink sticky's). :D Did ya know that you can stand between the green teleporters quite safely whilst a boulder circles thru ya?

Redirecting the zbot in Part 2   :roll....lots of flight plan testing required....it was such a pleasure to blow up your green guy after he did his job!

Please be advised that I will NOT make any attempts to play this epic as a whole. Seems to me somebody famous said, "you've got to know your limitations" (wasn't it Dirty Harry?).

Thank you boys, ya did good.

I probably won't play them either. Still haven't finished part 2. I'm at the end, and can't find out where to jump after the blue spheres.

:D :D :D Great level! Finally I played the whole big thing. Actually the seperate parts were me big enough 8) First I had lots of troubles with Bob's red spheres, and I needed the spoiler for I did it wrong. Or actually I started right but I was thinking I did wrong, for the things were destroyed, but apparantly that was just the intention. 8)

Then of course I also shot the box, but fortunately I saw that. And I was wondering if I was supposed to push the barrel through the yellow TP, so I did once and another time not and in both cases the blue gate opened.

Then the second part took me several restarts to find out how to handle with the cannon / boxes part. But the most terrible thing was of course that Z-bot   I had to edit the level to practice that part seperately. I don't know if it was intended to use the 2 step breaktile for the second time to jump up to where to bot was, but I didn't succeed and on my way I didn't use that. Then a few more restarts with the blue spheres and cubes, but finally I did it.

Thanks for the fun! :D :D :D

Can I get some help with the blobs in part 1 please?
I'm assuming the glitch in it is ment to be there, so how do I work around it, I'm stumped.

:D Of course I like to help, but at what point of the level are you, and what do you exactly mean with blobs?

The pink goober thingies, the zbot self destructs on the barrels, and as a result I am unable to walk across that middle tile (which I assume is an intended glitch ), so I am stumped as to how to get the coin.

Well I'm not able to walk on that middle tile either. I didn't look in the editor but I suppose it's just an X-floortile. But there's no need to though. This is what I did:
When the Zbot and barrels are destroyed push both, the steelbox and pink goobie right into the water.

Push the rightmost goobie 1 up, walk around it and push it down into the water.

Then go with the travelator to the left and push the last goobie up. Travelator back to the right, and push the goobie the same way as the other one.

If you have done this very fast you can get the coin in the green gate, but if you're too late you can do it when the green sphere is rolling over the green timer below the kaboom.
I hope this helps :D

EDIT: You're right, it must me a glitch, but I don't understand well how that works. However, there's no need to. :D

Three weeks later and a little progress...

Finished part 2 today :D
Hardest part was keeping exactly one box for the waterhole and the final jump was pure evil
Needed only a hundred restarts for the rest :?

Now I'm stuck at part one.
So far I have one red sphere rolling through the red TPs.
Read the spoiler above what to do with the other balls (one grey, one green, two red) but I have no idea how to get them there
Well, I managed to get one up to the green TPs but that's it.

Help please :)
