New Level (Advanced) - Coin Quest 29

Post by Liz Mayhew » Thu Jan 19, 2006 2:19 pm

This time Qookie and Loof play the 2 kidnapped Little Ones. The orcs have to take them to the evil wizard Stinkuman, but they are getting hungry ...

I have found this level to be a bit unpredictable, but have completed it several times. I've left a few spare items around for emergencies.

This level uses the Mountain1 texture, so you should have it already. Here it is again for anyone who wants it:

A LITTLE unpredictable? I'll say, I had shadows blowing up, Orcs blowing up, heroes blowing up! It took me ages to come up with a pattern that would assure total annihilation of the leg-eaters. Bravo, another fun one Liz! Thanks ever so much.

Wow! That was great! I had a rough time getting around those shaddows after the orcs were gone, but then I thought of the obvious an was able to walk without running into my otherself.

Wonderful ordeal, Liz!

Double WOW! Very unpredictable, especially when you have two left hands! My guys ran into each other, into the orcs, into the fire, and into gates. Finally they got their act together, got rid of all the orcs and their images and ran for the exit with all the gold. Liz, that was loads for fun! Thanks! :D

:D :D :D Double wow wee. Hi Liz. that was a good challenge, took me a few restarts to get it sorted, those blue others were the toughest to get trained up, You put so much thought into these masterpiece levels and they are so beautiful. I really appreciate all your hard work. Thank You. :D :D :D

Wow, Liz! I worked on this one a long time trying to get the shadows to do what I wanted. Finally figured out a method to the madness and then struggled to get all the button covered! After countless attempts, the Little Ones were able to escape to safety!

This was still missing in my done coin quest levels. Finished it today after weeks of desperation
Absolutely fun, beautiful design and clever puzzles. The orcs and shadow stinkers weren't easy to handle
Thanks for the fun, Liz :D

Again, I'm about a year behind ya all but holy cow you are a GENIUS to think up these levels. Now that I have might right and left all messed up and backwards I think I'll try and go shovel some snow.

Great level! I'm really lovin' this series although I feel kinda slow, just now getting to them

Why, oh why did I make such a blooming difficult level?
Anyway, here's the walkthrough. Good luck!

COINQUEST 29
WALKTHROUGH

Please note that a lot of this is unpredictable - how many kabooms blow up at one time, whether there are any flames left, etc. If possible you should walk a shadow into a flame to get rid of it because they can often be a nuisance once they’ve done their jobs.
1. Loof: step Dx3 on conveyor, then L, D, R to push boulder on green button.
2. Qookie: step D on conveyor, L on conveyor, walk up to top left conveyor and step L. Step Ux1 on conveyor and then watch for the kabooms coming up the right side. Your aim is to try to get rid of most of them, so step U on conveyor about when the 4th one is going round the top right corner. The boulder blows up all but 2 of those kabooms. Wait until those 2 have rounded the top corner and quickly step Ux6 on the conveyor to block the bottom end of that alley and divert the last kabooms onto the flames. Don’t stand at the top of the alley or the kabooms will blow the shadow up when they explode.
3. Move Loof to the right of the top left conveyor out of the way. Qookie: walk down to the bottom conveyor and right to the right conveyor. Step D on the conveyor repeatedly until the shadow is R of the lower box. Walk all the way L and then Rx2. Wait for a gap in the kabooms and step Rx1 and immediately D. That way the shadow blocks the kabooms and they walk up onto the flames. All the kabooms should blow themselves up on flames or in tight corners, but this part is slightly chancy.
4. Now to get the shadow to cover the white button. Move Loof out of the way above the bottom right conveyor. Qookie: walk U and L onto the top left conveyor. Step repeatedly U onto the conveyor until the shadow is down at the bottom of that right side alley. Walk R and U onto the top right conveyor. Step R repeatedly until the shadow is below the box. Step D to make the shadow push the box onto the button. If you’re
5. Loof: collect the coins. Push one box D through the black TP. Go through TP and collect coin. Push second box through TP to cover cyan button. Collect coins out of fake walls by yellow button and by tree bottom right. Cover yellow button with box. Use both characters to cover the dark blue button with the boulder at the top nearby. Exit via forest.

Thanks Liz. Finally, I have finished every level of Coin Quest. Some of those ones I had asked you for help on, I quit playing for awhile, and when I went back, I was able to figure them out. Its very frustrating when I can't figure levels out, but they were great. Nice Job :P
