I have often contemplated making a level where things had to happen in a certain order, like with the combination of a lock, in order to complete the level. I ran out of time (or attention span) to really give this idea all it was worth.
In theory, there are 24 possible combinations, but only one will work. I didn't field test all 24 possibilities, so I may be wrong.
