Hi Salin,
This level was all about how the game engine reacts to having a certain amount of items in a level.
The only way home is past the UFOs which you cannot destroy
However you can make it so that they will NOT fire at you - to do that you need to draw 3 shots from them that stay permanantly within the level.
If you want to see exactly how to do that then have a look at the attached screenshot.

WOW
How on earth do you come up with all that???
I was just trying to make the ufos selfdestruct, with no luck I might add..
Well thank you both, Malc and Kazza ( who pm me)

Malc,
You are a sly fox!
I have spent days on this, you know me for determination.
I'd never have thought of that in a million zillion years.
I was just about ready to throw in the towel and ask for a hint, then I saw the screenshot.
Well done Kazza!
Thanks for putting me out of my misery Malc.

Minnie. (Polly's big sis)

Thanks to Kymmie.

Oh I can't bear this ... credit I really don't deserve ...
With a bit of careful positioning I managed to get the UFOs to shoot themselves. I would
never have figured out the 3 shots as above.
I used 3 of each reflector which is what I thought the '3' indicated.
All the same I thought it was a really clever level and enjoyed it very much.
Thanks again Malc

Hi kaz67,
You deserve all the credit going for actually getting the UFOs to self- destruct.
Yet again it goes to show how levels can be completed in different and sometimes unexpected ways - EVEN to the creator

I had been trying to set up the reflectors so that they would shoot themselves. Managed it with one of them. This is much easier though.

Thanks Malc ...
I only learnt how to do screen shots yesterday so couldn't resist ...
Stinky has to be quick to move the marked reflector after the first shot is fired. Repeat process for 2nd UFO

That 's what I was doing. It's quite easy with the top one but I didn't have time to run from the bottom one and push the refector without getting hit.
You must have longer legs than me.

Also did it the selfdestruct way, though differently. My solution is very easy on the timing, BTW. Great puzzle, too.
I knew about the "overload" glitch but never thought about applying it here. Very smart, Malc!
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
