New Level - Save the Bears

Post by majic1 » Sun Jul 10, 2005 4:35 am

Here's a second version of mountain road. I liked the idea of making it look like you're going up a mountain and decided to try a better version. You have to free the bears! (Watch out for falling rocks as you're traveling up the mountain!)

I am still working on this one too.... many nooks, crannies, ice slaloms, and
trees to work around, that's why it's taking me so long.

But the good news is.... in typical majic1 fashion, it's fun getting there. :D
I shall report back once completion has been duly obtained.

This is Sunday afternoon puzzle...that's how long it took me.
But what a nice climb into the mountains....it was nice and cool

I was blind, but all of a sudden I COULD SEE.....what I needed to do. The ending was very tricky, I thought.

Beautiful level, wonderful collecton of little puzzles.
You are the Queen of Wonderland....

Majic, this is a beautiful level! I don't know what OG "saw", but I sure can't see it. I think I have probed every nook and granny and haven't found any buttons for the top center conveyor or the green gate or anyway to blow the kegs. A hint please

Hi Gen! Looks like time for a few hints! Sorry - I didn't mean for that area to be too hard! :D

(Highlight to read)
Put one character above the boulder top, center. Push the boulder right, through the teleporter. The conveyor isn't activated until a little later, so keep pushing boulders in this fashion, using 2 characters, until you have enough to get across the water. Once the box on the right is pushed off the conveyor button, the conveyor will start. The 2 wood boxes are used to fill the water holes on the left side of the water, or you can use boulders, but that will take longer. Boulders are then pushed down, then over to the left up against the bonus coin, then up. Fill the water at top left until you can step on green button - if I remember right, you only need 2 in that area because there are already 2 in the water. Enter the green gate now & position the ice block so you can line a boulder up with the gate, push it down & into the kegs. Don't let the "bears" out until the end - at least I thought it was easier that way. You will need to use all 3 prisms, but in the right order.

I'll give the solution for the prism area when I get home - I'm at work and need to actually LOOK at it to give positions & order they should be in!!!

What I couldn't 'see' was how to get to the exit....

I was stuck there FOREVER, just looking at those useless prisms.

Then all of a sudden the fog lifted....

Okey-doke! Here is the prism solution:

(Highlight to read)
Take the one free prism (after you smashed the kegs) on the bottom left & put it in line with the cannon between the upper box next to the top left prism & the lower box - where bottom coin (on white teleporter) & 2 boxes are. This will free up the top left prism. Put this one in line with the cannon & box with coin above it (that is next to third prism). This will free up 3rd prism (also hitting a bottom box blocking right coin) which you then use to smash the one remaining box blocking the coin & white teleporter.

I HOPE I explained that so it makes sense! If not, let me know & I'll post a screenshot!

OG, I see more Fog! I've tried several ways and always end up needing one more prism. One is freed when the kegs are blown up. The other two have to be freed, so you end up using two to free two, leaving one. You need one more to shoot around the pillar. :? :?
