New Level (3D) (Advanced) - Lichi Nuts revisited
New Level (3D) (Advanced) - Lichi Nuts revisited
This is a revisitation of one of my very early levels using custom content. The focus then was on playing with the visuals so it wasn't too terribly difficult. I think it may translate into the 3D genre ok.
Please note: I had to redo the tent model to work ok in 3D so even if you have the models from my first posting of this level, you will need to download these models.
Whoops! I am using a new zip program and goofed up. I am uploading a new version that hopefully will work correctly. wonderlandlover is correct, the old version did not create the sfsbeach2 folder automatically, so the files unzipped into the Custom Models directory unless you created the folder yourself. Sorry about the mix up

Superterv,
I noticed when I unzipped the file, it was a little different from the others. Usually I delete the folder name when you are extracting, otherwise it makes a folder within a folder. This time, when extracted, the files themselves showed up in Custom Textures, instead of his folder containing the files. Does that make sense?
Maybe that is why it didn't work for you? I had to re-extract and leave the folder name; then I deleted the original files.

I tried this in the 3D version first, and although I remember the level from long ago I couldn't manage it. So I tried your .lv6 normal version and saw what to do, then did it again in 3D.
The turtles and palm trees look wonderful from this POV, and Peegue looks very funny standing in the tent. I found it impossible to get 2 of the bonus coins in the tent. The angle always seemed wrong.
There's lots of open space in this level, so dizzyness is not a problem.
Lovely for sightseeing, but difficult for problem solving.

I did solve this in 3D version, first, so I could give an honest evalutation. This was definitely much more of a challenge. The way that Peegue's stand was situated made it difficult to get those bonus coins. But, you couldn't see the bonus coins or box at all in normal version.
I would say that having a level with boxes that you need to push a certain way, or face entrapment, is very difficult. You can't see anything!
Accept for the stand, the models were cool!
Thanks!

Hi Steve,
I tried this one too. First in 3D, but I gave up on it, because I found it too difficult to see things. Peegue's stand was awesome and I liked the way it was rotated at an angle to the normal tiles. I then tried it the "normal" way and realized that it wasn't difficult at all, although the bonus coins in the stand was impossible to see. All the models were awesome

All in all I'd say that it was a little too tricky in 3D, but very good looking. In "normal" mode it was an easy level (not my taste as many already knows
), but still good looking.
