Skipping stones
Skipping stones
Here's a timing puzzle. I think it's pretty easy to figure out what needs to be done. Getting it done is a little more difficult
, but not too much
Have fun!

I've tried it so many times, but my fingers are just not fast enough to get to the red button in time - if that's what I'm meant to be doing.
I think I have a general idea of what needs to be done after that, but I don't know if it will work until I try it - and I can't get there
Oh well - maybe some one else will get it done for you.

It is very straightforward, Ann. The main problem, as you have found, is fast fingers and good timing are essential. Only difficult part I found was getting through the Green gate, (more annoying than difficult, actually); timing has to be spot-on.
Keep trying, you'll get it.
Bear
btw. Definitely one of your easier levels, Bordeaux.

Okay Missouri,
I want to tell you if it's anything like your "Strolls" THEY AIN'T!
But man oh man if there's one guy who can design a challenge
for my old fingers it's you! So I'm looking forward to playing this one!
It might not relate you this post but since I'm on linux I can't start the game to see which one it is, but you're "Pinnacle of Success" twisted my brain for hours!
Cheers!
JeffH!

I never finished this one, but I remember that the boulder take out the chomper. It's not doing it now, so I loaded the level in the old rtw Deluxe version instead of platinum. in the older version of the program, when you go into the hidden wall, the chomper can't follow. in platinum, he can.
There used to be something called the "left side bug" that Bordeaux may or may not have used intentionally. I think that's what allowed you to hide from the chomper then. But the Platinum version doesn't have this bug, so some lv5 files can't be solved as originally intended.
Three choices:
1) Bordeaux can make an updated version of the level.
2) You can open it in the editor and take out the chomper.
3) in the Return to Wonderland folder, look for an EXE file called "wdlgame.exe" It's the deluxe version of the program, not the platinum version. You can use that EXE file to run the older version of the game and finish the level as intended. (wdlgamep.exe) is the platinum version)
EDIT: using the old wdlgame.exe, I just played it again and finally got through! If Bordeaux doesn't post any spoilers, I'm happy to help. Just let me know where you are stuck.

Loirae
Loirae, you are so strong and wise and good!! I tried the level using the
old Wonderland executable and it worked fine, the chomper just sat there waiting for the boulder (see screenshot). After that it was one quick move after another to the end (screenshot).
I must say Bourdeaux has made some amazing levels, thanks for your help!

bob
It happened to me once on Mark's "Elementary", but I couldn't repeat it again, either.Even so, it happened once that I got through the chomper unharmed - some magic timing, but I couldn't repeat it again.
Dizzy1 has discovered the exact timing needed to walk through z-bots. It's very tricky, but somewhat reproducible. I think that all (or almost all) enemies or other moving hazards (such as a boulder that returns toward you, or a fireball) can be passed through safely if you do it the exact right way at the exact right moment. Unfortunately, for anything that isn't a z-bot, I have no idea what "the right moment" actually is.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

Took the chomper out and finished with no problems. Thanks, Amnon, for bringing these levels back up.
