New level: Morgantown (Westside) + extra level

Post by Mahaloof » Sat Sep 16, 2006 12:03 pm

Erm, hello?
Ah, there you are...

Ahem! Two phenomena have led me to the conclusion that I'm actually working for posterity: one is that most (posting) members on this forum do not have the will, the willpower and the genius to solve my levels (to my own surprise, I must say). The other is that each new generation of kids seems to be more clever at solving problems. So there you are.
This is for your grandchildren and their children's children. In about a hundred years people will visit my grave and read the headstone: "Here lies Mahaloof. He was Teleporters ahead of his time. Died from lack of applause."

So here is part six of the terrifying saga that is April Loof´s Day. Not to be solved, of course, just something to look at.... :)

Additionally, I thought I´d try one of those abstract sort of smaller levels that you see here often. Just a silly little exercise, so that finally Liz M. can tell everyone in Watford she solved a Mahaloof level, hurray!
I named it after my favourite painting of the famous French artist Latrine.

Let me know if and if.

Here lies Mahaloof. He was Teleporters ahead of his time. Died from lack of applause.
 I don't want a tombstone "Muzozavr. Died from laughing" to become true.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

:D :D :D Well I solved the modern art level and I did like the nude! 8)

I thought the transporter road was brilliant and learned to use it to my advantage, It was quite fun taking a ride on those and staying ahead of the rolling death, Of course I did jump to my the wrong way a few times and rolled some important equipment into the drink just as the ferry arrived or right after it left.

But in the end I left the modern art museum with a gold star. :D

Thanks for this level, It is just the right size with ample challenge. :D

Ace all the way. :D :D :D

NO :( and YES :D

NO to Morgantown but I don't think I leave it to my grandchildren because I'm making some progress (at least I think it is progress :P ). Started the generator, visited the old Ladies and the empty food store. Well, and at a certain moment I'm running out of boxes... :? I'll keep trying :D

YES to the painting. Took me a lot of tries to learn what to push where - and when... Great use of those moving bridges. Had a lot of fun visiting all the exhibition rooms and went home with gold. Thanks :D

Have not tried 'Morgantown' yet, still playing some catch-up with other levels, but we'll see how my genius and my willpower will fare with a level that's not actually designed to be solved(?)

As to 'Nude With Coffee Table'...a fun challenge and not too difficult.
Just a silly little exercise, so that finally Liz M. can tell everyone in Watford she solved a Mahaloof level, hurray!
I'm sure Watford will be all abuzz.

Thanks,

LOL !!!!!!, Bob... :D
Great work.

So there's the proof that every April Loof's Day level can be solved.
How about Road to Morgantown (2), Bob? Nobody has reportedly solved that one yet. Well, except me.....

Yes I've just been up in the loft with a megaphone broadcasting to the whole of Watford that I've completed a second Mahaloof level in one day! I can't believe it.
 :D

The Nude with Coffee Table 1 was fabulous fun. Wonderful use of the transporters. Ace enjoyment.
:stinkyhappy:

Still working on Morgantown Westside ... maybe my grandchildren will be able to do this one.

Well done, Mahaloof:

Morgantown was a hard challenge, but I finally made it (with one hint from the level-editor). The "nude" one was sheer fun.

Congratulations on very enjoyable levels!

P.S. if you want to make it harder, take away (flood) the 2 bridges just before each series of houses - it is still doable!

It sounds great, Amnon. But I tried it and couldn't make it work. It seems to me that the coin behind the cannon can't be reached anymore. Did I miss something?

BtW, thanks for playing the level.. :D

One guy goes into the first series of houses (near the canon), he never goes back to the canon, just throws the boulder: someone else will pick that coin behind the canon.

The trick is, that there's a way to reach the first series of houses (and the second series too) without stepping on the bridge!
