476LIZM - Stinky in the Snow

We've had a lot of snow where I live. Time to stay indoors and make a level. Using one of JanetGalle's new Xmas textures - thanks very much JG!

Finally finished this masterpiece!!! Fantastic all the way through - each section took a few restarts until I was able to put it all together and then at the end I really didn't think there was enough time to do what needed to be done but there was and made it out with all the coins. Thanks for a great level.

At first I did it the unintended way which was bouncing into the white teleporter.

After that I did it the intended way and got the gold. The starting area was the hardest for me. Thanks for the level!

I had a rough time trying to figure out how to get the first cannon where I wanted it but some trial and a lot of error solved that situation. The rest was worked out using exactly the same technique.

I didn't understand the sign about forgetting the ice-cube, I used it once and left it where it was, seemed fine there.

Anyway, lots of fun!

I only put that sign there because I kept forgetting to put the ice cube in place when I was testing the level.

The white TP was a late addition to make a more fun ending, and I forgot that you could enter it early - sorry about that folks!

Hey Liz,

May I have some help, please? I can get the cannon to shoot the two upper boxes, but I can't return to the bottom then to be able to jump to the right.

Hi Anne

After you push the cannon up over the trampoline and up to the wall, go down the ice curve, which pushes you back to the left conveyor, and then go up the left side and round the top. This puts the arrows the right way. Now push the cannon up round the ice.

The conveyor is now pointing right, so after the cannon fires step down the ice curve and you slide back to your starting position.

I had no trouble getting the cannon to do its thing and cover the buttons on the first part, I just can't get to the other side. The one time I did I exited early. Could someone tell me how to get over there. Thanks

I missed my gold coin because on my first try Stinky exited without any coins. After that, the score cannot be made any better so the gold-coin does not appear.

Sorry about your gold star Amnon

Here's a version where I've put a conveyor in place so you can't possibly exit early. You can get a gold star with that!

Here's the complete walkthrough.

1. Push cube left onto light blue button. Push cube up the ice to reverse the conveyor. Slide up ice to push last cube onto white button.
2. Jump U, U, L, U. Hold right arrow down to push box into water and avoid boulder returning. Push next boulder left and up, step aside quickly to avoid it. Waterhole filled.
3. Slide back to the cannon via the ice curve. Push cannon up over trampoline and up to wall. Slide round the ice curve and up round the top ice curve to get both conveyors pointing the right way. Push cannon up round ice curve to land on boulder bridge. When safe slide round ice curve. Wait until the cannon fire reaches the bonus coin at the top and then jump U, U, U, R.
4. Walk to right of coin on trampoline. When safe jump left and go up at bonus coin. Push prism down and right, step back up out of the way. Push next prism to right of ice curve, down and left over trampoline to blow next box. Take cover behind wall. Push the useful ice cube up one so the z-bot doesn’t drown.
5. Stand on a blue button and step aside when the z-bot is in the area. Wait near the blue gate on the right and when the z-bot passes, lean on the gate to get through. Ride the raft D, L, U, D. Collect the first coin and slide round the ice to push the left blue sphere up. Walk round it, collecting the coin on the breaktile and push it right. Ride the raft back to the right side. Don’t collect the coin but push the blue sphere down. Now take the coin and push the sphere up so it travels up on the raft. Push the red sphere left and the blue sphere up into the water. Push the red sphere down round the ice curve and step right quickly to avoid returning sphere and boulder. Push red sphere up into water. Red button is now covered. Push boulder right and up into water. Ride the raft and collect the coins in the water and the bonus at the right. Go on up and push the blue sphere left over the trampoline (taking care not to smash the z-bot or you lose your sphere). The z-bot drowns. Jump left and collect the 3 coins. Return to the prism area.
6. Ride the raft down, and jump up over trampoline. Push cannon down over tramp. Push right prism 1 space right and left prism 1 space left. Jump right over tramp and push right prism up beside the conveyor. Go to the left side and push the steel box into the water, collect the coin and ride the raft right, pushing the prism onto the conveyor. Ride back and complete the bridge. Push the left prism onto the conveyor button. Go back to the right side, take the coin from the breaktile and ride the raft up to the top.
This bit needs to be done fairly quickly: when the cannon fires, push the prism onto the raft and walk down to push the last prism through the TP. Stay beside the wall. Cannon fires and all prisms are blown. Exit.

This was a challenging level. It took me quite a while to do both the first part and the spheres part. I did not find out to let the spheres travelling up and down, so I ended with the spheres on the wrong colour buttons, and after reading the walkthrough I played the intended way.
