This is an unreleased level I did two years ago.
One that my good friend Marinus tested for me.
I received an email from his sister today of his passing.
Here's a small tribute to a humble man and great genius.

Marinus...
You never acted like the queen bee, but you always were her for us.
And whatever you did, you did it as a true friend.
I'm very sad. Rest in peace.

Thanks for the information and the tribute level, Mark.
I've read most (but not all) of Marinus' post here in this forum,
and I shall miss his posts and ideas. It's sad that he's gone.
On the bright side, we've got him captured here forever in this forum.

That's very sad news Mark. Marinus was certainly a presence here on the board and I had been wondering why I hadn't been reading any of his comments of late.
I know he will be missed.
As to this level, I don't want to give anything away, but I probably used more items than I needed to. It was fun and a nice tribute.
I had that part but I assumed it was wrong because I could not figure out how to get past that part so I thought that was wrong. I guess I need help with the next part after I have one jump down to the walkway. I just do not see what to do there.

No, altering the code would prevent the level from being opened in the editor. Both cannon tricks are accomplished by glitches in the game.
The first trick of the cannon sliding occurs when the Shadow Loof (inside the barrel) pushes it left. Since there is a barrier to the left of the cannon, the image becomes disassociated from the actual object. This occurs when the object pushed is inside of another object which is the barrier. I believe it has something to do with the way the game display refreshes on the screen from left to right. The cannon stops when the red chomper passes over the conveyor button.
The second trick where the cannon does not fire has to do with placing 25 or more flames in a level. I stumbled across this one back in my Brentnor days.
Thanks Mark for relaying the sad news.
Please let Marinus' family know how much we appreciated his input and contributions to this forum. And tell them how much we will miss him.

You're welcome Janet,
Just emailed his sister how much everyone here misses him.

Damn, I'll really miss him.
Rest In Peace, Marinus.
Oh Dan- no not that- Oh dang! don't say damn to the kids!
You bumping this topic is only going to make kids more likely to see it.
sorry.
Well, a good level deserves a bump... but it's not your job to be a censorship watchdog when it comes to matters like this. If you have the slightest bit of tact, I hope you'll understand what I mean.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya. Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
