New Level (Custom) - Bluebell Blues 1

Post by Liz Mayhew » Mon May 27, 2013 2:53 pm

540LIZM - Bluebell Blues 1

Finally managed to make a level.
I've been in much more of a player than maker mood recently.

Here's a small offering using my bluebells texture which has been used quite a lot before.

You can download it here if you haven't got it:

Have fun! :D

Thanks for the fun - it was hard until I found that hidden object.

.
I took a respite from writing today
And see you started a new series! 8)

Springtime, Bluebells & Devious Puzzles.
Intricate logic on a miniature landscape.

I'm positive that I made this harder than necessary.
I've a sneaking suspicion, that your way was easier.

Found three ways to keep the pink gate open.
Hopefully, one of them was the intended way.

Stinky finally wised up after collecting every coin.
And made a deposit at the bank after his escape.

Thanks Liz! :D

Hey Liz,

What fun! Thanks.

I'm with Mark. I probably made this a lot harder than what was necessary. I was able to run, run, run to get the three timer/button sequences to happen so didn't need to use a lot of boxes.

I did the same, but I didn't find running-running-running a problem, that was the easier part - the hard part came after until I found about that hidden thing.

Hey Amnon,

Yeah, about that hidden thing. Liz, Lillie and Kiki are famous for their hidden walls. And things that pop out at you unexpectedly!

Now, after years of playing their levels, I always hit "Enter" to see if there are any hidden buddies and I look very carefully for hidden walls. If the texture maker didn't make a distinction between regular walls and hidden walls, then sometimes I have to go into the editor if I'm stuck.

Hi All

Thanks for playing. :D

I'm sure there are lots of ways of doing this, and I did the first part with run-run-running.

When I made this texture I designed the fake walls with a subtle difference. See pic below.

Yes, I have noticed it... unfortunately only after discovering the fake wall itself by sheer desperation.

And yes, Anne, I always press <Enter> as the first thing in any new level that I try.

Hey , Liz!

I enjoy all of your textures. 8)
This one was no exception.

That was a very clever distinction to
have the fake wall with one less tree.

I am looking forward to your video solution.
I know your way will be a much simpler one. :D

I doubt that my solution will be any better than yours.
There are obviously multiple ways of doing this one, but here's my way 8)

Your way's better & more graceful than mine.
My shortest solution was similar to yours,
except I covered the blue button with a box
And I destroyed the sphere on the spikes.
So I had to generate two boulders to exit.

This is really a nice level. The hidden object was some great idea.
Happy to Help!

Hey Liz, that was fun but it took me a long time to get back into the swing of things and a lot of bouncing around and experimentation.

The warm weather is disappearing quickly so back inside and a return to Wonderland. :D

Thanks for this,
bob
