Unlike keeks, Loof was the easy part. but i can't get any of the coins. It's like there is an invisible wall there. And the thingies are blowing up before I can move them out of the way. Is this another nasty trick? Or did I download the wrong version? (Was not the first 8.)

Loirae, I am in the same position as you and I downloaded it again just in case. So it isn't the version. We are both missing something!

Both versions of the puzzle work fine.
The update was just to fix an easy way to exit.
There's actually more than one way of solving this puzzle.
The invisble objects blocking the coins are the real spheres.
Their image is projected two tiles to the right of their actual location.
That's what I was referring to with 'lateral thinking'.

OK, good hint. I know that's what was goin on, but I must've been having a totally brain-fried moment. I'll go back with that in mind.
EDIT: fooL has finally gone into the light. And Loof and Stinky have gone over the rainbow.
EXCELLENT!

Very interesting, as usual, Mark! I found it hard to keep track of the spheres! Weird to be able to walk through them too!

I've got all the coins and built a bridge across to the ghost Loof, but I can't make him move!
Will try again but may have to ask for help!
EDIT: Thanks to a hint from Amadeus about where to build the bridge I finally made it. But I had to completely rethink my strategy for getting the coins and moving the boulders. Excellent fun.

I think I must be blind or something. I never noticed the 'thingy' till you told me it was there.
I got all the spheres in the right places but still can't get Fool to move more than one step so Stinky can't get past. Where are the trampolines when you need them?

Well ! ! ! I got Loof out - and that's all. I used the hidden treasure to help rescue Loof,
and don't see any way to move the spheres.
One isn't any use at all, two are fake, and the other "two" won't move.
Can't do this one, Mark.
Edit: Thank you so much Mark, for the wee hint. I was on the right track - sort of - but doing things in the wrong order. Do it right, and you have all the necessary equpment to get the job done. Do it wrong, and you ain't got nothing left ! ! ! ! There's a nice hint for some one.

Finally! I thought I'd never get this! Great puzzle, did it without the spoilers. Even after I figured both parts out, I needed ages to "tie them together"

I never would have gotten this, if it hadn't been for the hint about the boulders not being where they seemed. I thought it was invisible walls stopping me from the coins!
I was able to figure out boulder placement on my own, after many tries. What a relief to get the gold star!
These are some amazing levels!
