Default Textures and Backgrounds

Post by rayelynn » Tue Jan 24, 2006 9:13 pm

I am having quite a bit of trouble with the Custom Textures and Backgrounds. I am color blind and some of them are very hard
for me to see.

Is is possible to have a default Texture and Background that will load automatically if a custom one is not present. That way, not only can I see to play the game, but also if you miss one, the level does not abort and you don't have to constantly load the custom ones.

I appreciate all the hard work that went into them, but for me, it means that I no longer can play some of the levels.

Thanks

About those custom styles and backgrounds...

Hi RayeLynn,
No, I've realized that the code doesn't allow for a default texture and background to load automatically if the custom choice is not installed or found (in its directory). The game will always abort when it can't find these customs.

Here's a solution:
Load the level in the Wonderland level editor and remove the "CUSTOM' attribute and change it to anything else you wish. Your choices are as follows:

For Styles: { Cave,Sand,Wood,Purple,Castle,Jade,Spooky,Garden,
Aztec, and CUSTOM }

For Backgrounds: { Sky,Forest,Walls,Stars,Flat,Water,Lava,Warp,City,
Rainbow, and CUSTOM }

Do you need help using WinZip and installing textures? Let us know.

I think Patrick said he was going to include this in the next update, or patch. Not sure when that will be though.
